And the world is full of sobbing women who fell foul of the decisions and choices i never made..... i laid in bed dreaming of becoming a poet.

Well Neville if ever a poem punished me for my lowly status and poor self image i think i just read it... ho ho ho

Thus may speak the negative minded but in contrast i count myself fortunate for my bright outlook and all the flat tyres which passed me by.

Such wisdom in your words and will surely set the thinker among us to contemplate.... perhaps looking to their progeny.

The map of life looks more like a spider\'s web than a straight line. Choices made and not made, choices wise and unwise, right or wrong, etc.
So few words to get to the same wisdom. We are after all a product of our own choosing or perhaps our own not choosing Mistakes in life can be corrected, missed opportunities cannot. Wow, you\'ve got everyone thinking deep today, myself included. What if, what if? Holy smokes, I could have been king! Thanks for that. - Phil A.

I think you are tricking us with this nifty little tautology, but it\'s hard to argue with you. One makes a statue of a man by removing all the stone that does not look like a man.

Oh you made me laugh. Any number of problems come to mind (well done there) not least the showering of tears released from the fragile, once agitated, memory of your partner here.

A stitch in time saves.....

as a psychiatrist working within the adult & adolescent mental health arena for many years I have had many ladies of all ages share tales about how when and where they came to be deflowered .. never though until now has any of my poetic peers felt inclined to emphasise the longevity of their virtue ... so thank you for being my first Angela ..
Blessings back at ya and regards to both your internal organs and soul .... :)

ANGELA & BRIAN said:

ANGELA HERE - Good Evening Neville - Thanks for a cute Poem regarding the *X Factor* in us Lady Members. I was 28 when I met Brian and really really fell in True Love for the first time ! To several of My *Xs* in the 12 years (16 - 28) of TEASING (not intentionally ! ) before I met BRIAN I was considered by some Men to be an enigma. On the one hand I was considered very TACTILE especially when I qualified as a PHYSIO & (MEDICAL) MASSEUSE I was attractive (as All Spanish Girls are) so my BEAUS had *Great Expectations* ! On the other hand I was a Devout Catholic *Daughter of Mary* and I had a Spanish Father who would have castrated (fate worse than death !) any Caballero who deflowered Me out of Wedlock. So because of my Religion & PAPA - I did not *DELIVER* in my 20s and was branded *A **** Teaser !* Brian was different more interested in My Soul than my Body - He was a Deacon & A Youth Leader (A role I now share with HIM) in an Evangelical Church and (by Gods Grace) I was stiil a *VIRGIN* when we married in March of this YEAR. Oddly enough BRIAN never saw me as a TEASE just as *A Pearl of Great Value* and He still does - AMEN !

Blessings & Joy & Peace to You & Yours
Love Angela - Brian & Smokey Cat 🧡💙🤎

what exactly does Z and C refer to (I think I can guess at the \'key\'... maybe) 😁

Genteel teasing having long been a part of the feminine nature needs attention when exes dominate -- real or no I agree she should limit the number allotted so she can hit more spots off male ego...... ha ha.

Short and very allegorical. I love the breadth of meaning/s: Land and desire, aging and desire, growth and status-quo, work and idleness, etc. Let\'s all take the time to nurture our relationships. - Phil A.

Time just keeps on rolling. Fate, if one chooses to believe in predestination. is a product of time. Your poem is a product of your skills as a writer. And writing is never a result of destiny, only of hard work and skill. I guess I\'m stuck with the \"pauper\'s fate.\" - Phil A.
