Your lines are as artistically, knowingly loaded brushes painting from a palet of a lovers pastel life onto a canvas of teased illusion in my mine of recollected picturescapes.

I find your poetry the most romantic. Time after time you encapsulate both a melacholy and a grandeur of loves lasting rewards.

Ha ha... and here I have wished I had a thatch roof all my life, just for the romance. Here in the US of A we use metal or those nasty shingles made of tar and grit... I have experienced a tropical storm on a thatched roof and loved the way it softens the blow and drip for hours after. I put on a metal roof 40 years ago and it will certainly outlast me... It\'s only romantic when it rains. Slate is too dear here darn it.

If you have a thatch, don’t light a match!

Just kidding, what is a thatch made of.??
Palm , bamboo , or banana leaves.
I swear there’s nothing up my trees!

Such an endearing write with a hint of melancholy, but ever so beautiful. The past is but whispered memories on the tip of the tongue, Just waiting to be exhaled

I don\'t know, maybe not quite - thatch
but I still - reach, for soundtracks: of rain falling on tin roofs
when I can\'t sleep,
a lingering legacy of my childhood\'s idolised memories, I think...
a wonderful shorty, it let me travel back in time
such a sweet gift, in a read

as a confessed fan of your unassuming poetry\'s
unique element of subtle decadence,
I\'m just thrilled to add this to my collection of treasured re-read: must\'s..
so happy to see your artistry soaring to ever-higher levels my friend,
\'bloomin eck, u sure can spin an enthrallingly gre8 yarn!\'

The quaintness of thatch though pretty seems to have lost its place around here too and with these days of ruthless pollution needs regular maintaining - so methinks I will stay with slate..............x

so clever: its kinda crazy but that \'trolleyed\' finale, is imagery
I find so relatable, within the context of what modernity
has to offer, as a remnant semblance
of that extinct deity, we once - proudly, classed: \'A lady...\'
(wonderfully witty, but as-ever
still locked-on target, with succinct commentary
my friend) a great read!

again, ever-so subtly: brilliant! my friend..
I hate comparing your works
with those of famous Poet\'s, like Bukowski
but your effort today hit so close to surpassing
one of my favourites from his rather - divisive, cannon
I feel the need to quote his version on this same theme
(forgive my self-indulgent rudeness, in my own twisted way
I mean well, or at least that\'s what I\'ve convinced myself... lol)
from \'To the w**** who took my poetry\':
\'next time take my left arm or a fifty
but not my poems:
I\'m not Shakespeare
but sometime simply
there won\'t be any more, abstract or otherwise;
there\'ll always be money and w***** and drunkards
down to the last bomb,
but as God said,
crossing his legs,
I see where I have made plenty of poets
but not so very much
poetry.\'
