My comments on the poem \"Echoes don’t tell lies” by Neville.

Echoes are like the mirror. They reflect exactly and truly. The mirror reflects what it sees. The echo reflects what it hears. Both the mirror and the echo do not and cannot tell lies. With the echo there is reverberation : the sound gets repeated a few times, but with a diminishing volume. If you swear at something, you will hear it flung back !... You hear your words coming back to you… That sure is strange… The reflection is in the mirror but that thing needs light for you to see what is being reflected. But, the echo does not need anything : it always bounces back… Soman Ragavan. 11 January, 2024.

Feasting Upon Leftovers

Some peoples\' \"leftovers\" are better than others\' main courses. Like the difference between Grandma\'s cooking and my own. But this isn\'t about food, is it? Yet, love can follow the same course. In sharing the food and love, not all tastes are the same. As a poet, to keep the pen flowing, inspiration must come fresh from the oven and be served as a main and not a side. Though we may all feel like \"leftovers\" from time to time it\'s good to have a poetic side accompanying us. - Phil A.

You aren’t a leftover poet. More the dish of the day:) Well, one of my favorites for sure Neville:) Contempt dressings or any other seasoning not required. As it comes. Serve it up:)

I found this poem amusing maybe I shouldn’t have.

Love begins with the physical attractions and is remembered in the same way. This poem is a wonderful tribute to a lover. We all remember loves from the past and present with the greatest fondness. Whether it be a \"fragrance, a \"taste\" or a \"touch\" that initiates the memory the sensation is felt as real. Wow, what a tender way to express one\'s love for another. _ Phil A.

No personal meaning attached to this, re spectacles. I may put my big foot in it, if I interpret some cryptic poems wrongly - not that this a cryptic one.
