Sax - you\'ve done it again - thrown something at us which s totally original (to my mind anyway).
Would it be discourteous to ask -memory or research?

Great fun piece. Many things popped out from my memories. I had a 50th birthday party eons ago with a 60\'s theme despite the warnings. The police came three times due to the noise. The last time we offered to pay the fine. But they refused. Just said: Keep it down a bit, OK. Very understanding coppers that bunch.

If you remember the sixties you weren\'t there SC.
Mind you I remember the sixties and I was there, such wonderful times, a complete change in the way of the world - perhaps we need the sixties back now.

with few exceptions .. mainly regarding our health circumstances, most of us are where we are today because of the choices we made and the decisions we failed to take

With love, the questions are plentiful, and answers so elusive. Choices aren\'t always easy, but if you listen to your heart, you\'ll find a choice you can live with. Great write Sax. 👍

You describe well the torment of being torn in two directions when the heart is involved. If the trade off is to lose either your lover or an opportunity then the question arises... which will you miss most.

If it is the end for Boffington Town, maybe a new town will take it\'s place with new characters. A great series of writes Sax. Keep that quill wet. 😉

that jovial rhymed tone, throughout
and abruptly - morose, yet somehow hilarious
last line, made me want to read this again..
strangely, I found this to be a fun read
thanks for sharing dear poet

OOOOOOh Noooooooo..... You can\'t do that, Sax. Shows complete lack of compassion for B Town\'s residents...Where is your humanity?
Can I suggest you petition Prince Charles to build a second town....that\'s the best I can do at this distance... I feel so powerless...
A skilled chronicler of the end....

\'The mortar is crumbling to dust
And this home I\'ve lived in for so long is falling apart\'

\'Each creak of the floorboards
A symphony of life in motion
But the stairs are ready to topple now
So many times they\'ve been trodden on\'..
yeah, I am there
hovering on that same plank
between, that next step
and:
\'Just shadows and dust
Ghosts and what may have been\'
so I try, to find a view to a future:
\'I breathe deeply and step forward
So goes it with my heart\'..
(such a brilliantly, despairing voice
you\'ve inked alive
for us to connect with and relate-to)
thank you, dear poet

Not A Love Poem
Accidental Poet said:

Excellent write Sax.
Love knows no limits, no boundaries it can\'t cross, no depths it can\'t reach, no heights it can\'t fly. But it also requires input from a living entity or it is only that what is expected of. Believe in it, and love will believe in you.
