Made me think - my PP seems okay but is it really blunt? Might have to do what dusk has done and buy abother one to compare it - but then I am trying to avoid going out and mixing with people at the moment - I need to go to the dentist and get my haircut - better get these things done before us oldies are confined to barracks. Great write by the way.

A Cynical Look at the Future

BRIAN HERE ~ Thanks SC for focussing on COVID 19 which is making everyone paranoid. Mainly because it is a New Virus and as yet there is NOT a VACCINE but the Biochemists are working on it and one is ready for a Clincal Trial !
Your Poem highlights the reality of the COVID 19 Pandemic and some Countries are already in Lockdown. The UK (no Education closures etc) seems to me to be playing it cooly on a day by day basis and having Faith that the Vaccine (being trialed on Animals at Imperial College) will greatly reduce the death Rate in the Elderly. The opening lines of my draft poem for tomorrow are ~

Don*t be afraid of COVID 19
Avoid big crowds ~ and keep your hands clean

As a Scientist Im confident that once we have a vaccine COVID 19 could be reined in just as FLU is with FLU jabs ! Nevertheless the Global deaths from Flu in 2019 were 650,000. Viruses take no prisoners. However ~ My Mantra is *Dont panic its only a VIRUS*

Thanks for highlighting what is the most serious Pandemic this Century !
Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

We\'ll have to go without hand-shakes, etc for a while then. Not that we\'re being unsociable.
But what about some folk\'s hygiene, even when there is no health scare? And let\'s not ever visit some public loos - yuk!

Your words explain that we are creatures of our moods.
A biscuit brings pleasure and is often a token of sharing with visiting friends/callers.
Given a choice, which type of biscuit would you be though?

Such a true write SC. The cynic in me has been wondering now that Corona virus is all the news what is being hidden form us that the government are doing with other laws in our lives.

I will not get it as I drank bottles of the antidote when I was a child.

Wonderful write SC those times are so precious. When my son was a babe we had that fun all day, he never stopped but as soon as his head hit the pillow he went straight to sleep and even now forty plus years later he still does the same.

Quite beautiful saxon. Gone out of my life are those times and i thank you for your words today which brought the feelings back to me.

Now I have two granddaughters and don\'t have a hope of sharing their magic moments, for the one who was once the babe i put to bed is their dad and he gets those moments.
