An Old Wives Charm to Dispel Bad Weather

A lesson to be learnt - never wear trainers to work - I feel your annoyance and - yes - it was dry here too.

Loud applause for your brilliant portrayal of what happens when we yield to the invite and run with the wind. A delightful flow to this read my friend.

Reading your words today brought back a feeling of childhood freedom... \"racing with the wind and the feeling that i\'m free\" (Steppenwolf - Born to be wild).
Yep, the way you wrote this i was with you feeling the wind rattling my shirt sleeves as i ran through the long grass chafing my bare legs (short trousers).

But as i got older that wind became a lazy wind. Too lazy to go around me, it went straight through me.

Lol. A meagre attempt today compared to some of the amazing poems I have read so far today on the subject of Spring. It must be in the air. Alas, no philosophical reading at present. Who are you reading out of interest?
Are we living beings or beings that are alive? Hmmmm.......

You reading a bit of philosophy too, as I am? Yep, the wood is green, or soon will be. Well, it is already, if it\'s evergreen trees!
A paper had a section: \'Dept Of The ******** Obvious\'. It listed things, like from this book: \'We are living beings\'. Well, most of us look alive anyway. lol.

Looking back into the past certainly shows a simpler life where people communicated with each other in a more meaningful way.
Our past has led us to what we are now be it good, bad or indifferent but I am happy with my now.

Awesome work here.. Although i do believe in living in the now..but your write reminded me that reflection on positivity from the past is a wonderful tool to use when we discern our decisions in the now..the future should be a surprise..not planned out..it never goes our way if we try to do so...there is nothing wrong w reflection..as lo g as it doesn\'t result in apprehension to move forward in the now..but all in all..great piece..enjoyed

Playing devils advocate here.... how useful is the past? What do we actually learn from the past. How to kill people more efficiently?

But you are right, we hardly own today and tomorrow is just a hope.

Does it sound dull or bring to say \'Well, if nothing changes, nothing will surprise us; we\'ll know just where we are?!\' Yet it can be contentment, as Goldie says.
