It aint often I\'m moved to tears by MPS but your words today hit the spot saxon.

Apart from that, so well structured with a buy line to die for.

Of course, a must for my favourites.

\"soulvolution\" that is a concept that we need to take a hold of and live by. Many a young person have often enough gone far and wide to \'find themselves.\' But we could start with small things at almost no cost. Thanks for sharing.

Same sentiments, exactly. In a few, the half century is quite a milestone in the psyche, as well. See you there!

Yes I guess we\'ve all had times feeling like this. But I\'m much nearer 80 than you are, and yes the old body crumbles, but I think life gets better. My fifties were great. as were my sixties. Unexpectedly. I thought it would be all downhill. Not. It\'s an eloquent poem that is expressive of feelings without just being a bit of prose cut up into lines - difficult to do, I think.

Saxon Your poem is very descriptive and I like that style. I\'ve got 35 years on you and having the time of my life. I took up amatuer singing three decades ago and poetry this year. If you\'d like to give a listen, here\'s the youtube channel link: https://www.youtube.com/user/hzugman

Woah fantastic unique poem as most wish for youth, while you seem so tired and achy that you wish to beold as 80 dahh. I enjoyed the poem for its wry dry humour and witty poetic remarks. Kudos!

Plz also read and comment my newest poem too.

Get out there dancing and prancing or whatever floats your boat.
Leave the moans and groans for the genuine article

I too, dear Poet
don\'t get, this whole health trip
and extending life
# façade
I mean, if you\'re fated a lengthy life
so be it
we traverse it, as best we can
but why prolong it?
when all we\'re promised is
endless funerals
an ailing physical state
and a mind that can\'t remember
if it\'s 56 or 64 for 8 times 8
or
has it always, felt
like theirs eight days in a week...?
lol
but then, I wouldn\'t mind sticking around
to take a sip of something strong, that\'s
aged
for as long as, I\'ve survived...
(\'they say age
ain\'t nothing but a number\'
and I can\'t help
but stare back
blankly
and scream, back
loud
\'That\'s the fuckin, Point!\')
🤬😒🤷‍♂️🍾🥂😎
lol
such a fun read

None of us had an easy ride after 47 sax. Someone said to me rather cruelly when i was on a major downer \"life\'s a bitch - then you die\" which is one way of looking at our existence. But it speaks of bitterness and failure to revel in the joys of life and it\'s many rewards.

I can\'t visualise that you as an expressive and creative poet take a negative viewpoint on life\'s rewards.

A well written piece but I feel you took a devil\'s advocate stance here.

This was my second read and wow what a hit and I\'ll think my next write will go a bit like this, thank you for the inspiration my friend.

I turned 40 last year and I\'ve just spent the last to weeks in and out of A&E
This body will be the death of me but I\'ll cross over running, you wait and see...

Truly an honour to receive your gift, catch you at the finish line!

Freedom #2
Morwenna said:

Free from your conscience perhaps. But not from whoever/whatever makes you upset/angry/indignant/frustrated/sad. And anyway, just write it - you don\'t need to publish it. I find it very therapeutic when any of the above. It a great thought-provoking stanza.

Excellent Saxon. I\'d never have though of writing about how barren i feel when my inspiration has drifted from me.
You have inspired me here though. And right now i have thoughts of penning my loss though I have to admit inspiration rose again in me this morning.
I find an amazing lift of spirit once i have been seduced by inspiration and produced a piece - I\'m sure it must be similar for you and all us poets.
Great work, I\'m going to indulge in a re-read now.

It’s difficult when we feel we cannot write , or are lost and don’t even know what to write about . Sometimes a picture can inspire me to write ,

I look around me wandering if there’s anything around me I can write about .

I’m sure youl feel able to write soon .. hope so )
