I like your poem - it brought back memories of \'fun\' activities the children wanted me to see/do with them - \"jump in the puddles Mum and see the splash and who gets wetter\"!
I like Rocky\'s explanation too.

Recapturing Innocence

Omg, this was such a vivid picture. I feel that the smoke can be referring to the dad\'s cigarette, and the child is so innocent that he doesn\'t even realize what that\'s causing to his father. I feel that long pause as well until we reach the father\'s response, \"ok,\" is so deep. It\'s like the dad doesn\'t want to play, but rather decides to do so because he chose the life of a father and not because he wants to in actuality. Some profound stuff.

Scarecrows Secret

Wow, I never thought this deeply about scarecrows until today but it\'s true. They must feel a sense of loneliness but the way you conveyed this makes it seem like they\'re okay with their solitude. Maybe they live in peace. Wonderful poem.

a good conversational poem, lovely lyrics, with an uplifting poetic voice. (It\'s peaceful here, I\'m feeling good) Some clear imagery we can all relate to. My fave words are: \"The stillness Of the flowering trees\" Lovely lines with a steady rhythm.

While your scarecrow may feel so very solitary, he is not encumbered by the worries of the world. There may be something to be said for having your head filled with straw, and a smile on your face. Does he know something we don\"t? Such a fun read, thank you for a wink and a smile.

So wonderful that a crow could appreciate a scarecrow. I think the scarecrow loves a life of watching the world around him and wondering if the world can appreciate him. You\'ve done the scarecrow justice Sax. πŸ˜‰

A fine anthropomorphic write there SC.
Quite a long word there (lol), meaning \'giving human attributes to non-human things\'.

How fortuitous that you should write this today. We\'ve had rain and the most wonderful thunder almost all day long. I love the sound, especially at night as I\'m going to sleep. And it really does speak to us of all that we can\'t possibly know. I love what you\'ve written, it\'s in my heart.
