You\'ve hit the spot where evil lies. Those who plant the seeds of discontent and cultivate it. They play with our heads in a most unforgiving way. Great, thought provoking write!

Hmm but there again we are all different. Some will only write a few pieces about their broken heart whilst others can\'t seem to stop writing (and many wish they would LOL).
But whatever... it seems to be a part of me and in my humble way I plod on. Seeking what I wonder? I don\'t really know beyond it being cathartic to let my heart fight with words until a modicum of satisfation prompts me to say a piece is finished (though, you\'ll probably agree pieces are rarely \'finished\').

Thank you for a piece which made me reflect right down to the bare bones of what this poetry thing is for me.

Great poem crow )) this is so nicely expressed

Especially love these lines

But melancholy is a beautiful thing
It creates many wonderful hues
For a poet knows with an artist\'s eye
That words have their shades too

Because the world we paint with
Jumbled letters
Makes every dream come real

I can tell when you\'re having one of these dreams... your paws start to run and you quietly bark. I\'d wake you but I might get bitten.

A truly eye-opening piece Saxon. Could these whispers be like those voices in our heads that tell us we aren\'t good enough or worthy? Maybe. Nonetheless, it\'s truly engaging and your rhymes are always spectacular.

Beautiful poem. Rhymes and imagery were employed really well to describe the pain that was gone through. I thoroughly felt the pain that the persona was going through. *thumbs up*

Very touching and very relatable. Many relatives are also going through this now as the older generation is lost one by one.

I\'ve read this through a few times and have the feeling that this piece needed to be written. It is so well written that i sense it took time to compose and now appears as a statement of the great loss of a much loved figure in your life.

And then I read your author\'s note lol. Well i was going to delete my comment above and start again but, no... it\'s a credit to you skills as a creative writer. Well done poet.

Truly written well. To everyone who has lost loved ones, like myself, I know this will hit home. Your descriptions are really interesting and the rhyme ties it all together.

Youth finally shut out from the current day when I realised that for everything, I had to pay! As a youth everything was offered, gifted, handed out and presented. But soon as the bills came lining up, youth dulled and greyed, the spark was jaded over time. Splendid read. Thanks for sharing this poem. /Rik.

Dawn Chorus
dusk arising said:

We had a silent dawqn chorus today - the birds are out in protest about their energy bills going up and now claim theres less stale bread put out fot them... people are eating it.

Looks like their feathers are well and truly ruffled.

Lovely poem in praise of re-awakening each day to the beauty of the natural world all around us.
