you are mistaken my friend. on the contrary i look forward to reading your in-depth analysis : it is refreshing to hear what you have to say.. i don\'t find it over zealous, and am not annoyed. glad to have your frank reviews in fact, so please don\'t tone it down - i welcome whatever thoughts and ideas the readers have to share. good day

Goldfinch60 said:

So very true Nafisa, strangely my partner and I were talking about this last night after seeing something on the television about changing the way you look.

I have a philosophy in life:

\"This is me if you do not like what you see that is your problem, not mine\"

My partner feels the same and to me she is beautiful all the time.

the betrayal
L. B. Mek said:

PoeticDan
a fellow poet like you
here on MPS
shared with me a quote, i feel
relevant to your write
so i\'ll pass it on:
\'\"Those who matter
don\'t mind
and those that mind
don\'t matter\"
(sometimes, we fallible humans
can\'t see the gifts before us)
thanks for sharing
I too have experienced a similar
conundrum, in the past
where the more I made myself
available
and yearned, to help
I cheapened, my worth
in the eyes of that person
and they simply assumed
i would always be there..
sadly
life\'s not so easy, so in our
time of sweet parting
i consoled myself, with the thought
that I had, given it my all
and found acceptance
and a path to move on
anchoring, that memory
to that mindset..
(if it helps
fee; free to try it yourself
\'his/her loss
so, on
to the next
knowing
no one guaranteed me
do-over, tomorrow\'s
to waste, on a past
that i can\'t change\')

Why insult others?
L. B. Mek said:

forgive me, dear Poet
(while I empathise
and absolutely, understand
your Poetry\'s, perspective..
I still feel, that
more harsh truth\'s, have saved
and affected a positive change
in people, than mere words
of soothing, kindness..
so i am torn and left grappling
with yet more duality, in existence
see
in some way\'s, being blunt
and harsh, can become
the kindest interference
we affect, in the life\'s
of those we care, for
the most..
just as, there are people
in general
who will purposefully use
this fact
as an excuse, to be brutally
truthful
and cause others, undue suffering..
sadly
that\'s why, we need to cultivate
a calm, centred
part of ourselves, removed
from other\'s, opinions
a space
where we can anchor our
values and beliefs, in life
so that in such complex
matters, we revert back
to that which we feel
to hold more truth
on a case by case basis..)

One crowded hour..
L. B. Mek said:

empowering message! dear Poet
even for those not aligned
to your path of faith, in life
for
we can all, take inspiration
and simply apply it
to our chosen, way of life:
\'Let helping others be your aim
Let fairness help you win the game
Let not your life be one of shame..\'
Amen!

why does the moon..?
L. B. Mek said:

\'She looks like a lonely waif, a reflector poised in space
And sometimes to enliven herself, with the clouds, does have a race
And sometimes she hides behind the clouds
As if to hide her face
While sometimes, she races ahead of it
Laughing at it its slow pace.\'
(what a fabulous verse
a wonderful showcasing
of your poetic talents
genuine originality and creativity..
a lovely read..
i bet you made the moon blush)

SNOW WHITE CLOUDS
L. B. Mek said:

Brilliant!
forgive me, dear Poet
I read your words and couldn\'t help
but be inspired to scribble
my own, little poetic reply:
(\'Puffed white cotton, glides\'
to serenade our eyes
with Nature\'s, guile
majestic, in its simplicity
effortless in its, complexity
these clouds
that look down
without ever, making us feel
marginalised or small,
these clouds
that sway our heart\'s
with a glimpse of the wonder
in existence\'s duality,
these clouds
now kind, subtle and beautiful
then monstrously thundersome
and just as quickly, revert back
to glistening beacons, championing
Sunshine\'s, soothing rays...
these clouds, we
far, too often fail
to appreciate!)

flowers
L. B. Mek said:

\'We find them in the bowers\'
(what a poignant write, dear Poet
couldn\'t help but try and poetically reply
thank you for sharing and inspiring my little scribble)
\'born into a Time
that\'s stopped, smelling
nature\'s Flowers..\'
instead we\'re sold
synthetic petals, in plastic bags
to adorn our floors
and colour our manmade mirage, occasions
then we wipe them away, free
of dirt or earth
marketed to be used and thrown away...
later
we drink our wines alone
look upon our dead gardens
\'this Spring\' we promise ourselves
\'I\'ll definitely get started this Year\'
we whisper, to that forgiving air
...
