The letters
L. B. Mek said:
we smile at words
with empty hands,
we type our well wishes
devoid of distinctive
penmanship traits..
we click send and hope for a reply
knowing, all our wishes
have been whittled down
to binary relationships
and we\'ve forgotten so much
we assume
this, is as good it can get
in life...
(a lament for Time\'s
deemed archaic
but yearned for, by those
who know)
thanks for sharing, a really good message
but still a little room for poetic refinement, dear poet
(\'who types the letter now
who calligraphs *by hand, inside
who laces them *with well wishes,
*those long gone letters, waiting
in the post box, outside
*now, with technology at its peak
where an alphabet is typed
*and instantaneously
reaches the receiver on, the other side
no longer
*do we get coarse sheets
drenched
with a persons scent, inside*\')

Serendipity. I was decluttering and found very old beautifully written letters from my Dad. I was studying overseas then. Your lovely poem brought back memories.

I’ll be looking over my shoulder tonight. I’d better not look into a mirror too in case I see a shadow behind me. Spooky! Thanks for sharing!

Dark and eerie poem leaves the reader wondering is this auto biographical or simply the fear to leap for fear of falling.

A beautiful, gothic Poe like piece here spilleronsheet.
I love the way you\'ve weaved the stillness of night and the active nature of the dawn together.
Bravo and I hope all is well!

the interconnectivity of matter
the likenesses in all humanity
the abundant disparity in universality,
a surreal depiction
a poetic dialectic
a serenely scenic scene..
(what a wonderful read
great to see your imagination
playing around with wordplay,
a brilliantly creative write!
thanks for sharing, dear poet)

I suppose the greatest circle is the one we live on. This brings wonderment, and at times, total confusion, but would we have it any other way.

So very true that some problems go round and round, never seem to end leaving us confused and down. Yet others are resolved quite simply! Great lines.

Circle of Confusion !! What a wonderful correlation.
Circles don\'t end, but you can surely come out of the circle with your centrifugal force of optimism.
So break the the centripetal force of confusion and its time, to see the life beyond the Circle of Confusion.
Amazing write and your poem touches the depths of your inner core. !! Thanks Spiller !!

Nice poem but deffo goes against human nature. We instinctively cry after the event as tiny children, a hard habit to break.

So very true spilleronsheet, art brings something into your heart that cannot be explained. I am a member of the Ashmolean Museum an art gallery in Oxford and I could, and have, spent hours looking at the art there.
In the boardroom of the place I worked before retiring there was a print of Mark Rothko\'s Orange and Red which I managed to procure when we moved to a new building, I see so much in it.

Probably in our human existence, the last two years have been the worse, and going into next year doesn\'t look to be any better. Maybe a time to rejoice, which may sound strange, but as humans, that what we do.
