I can relate to this this poem, with the myriad of reality television shows that we are inundated with here in the states. Survival in the wilderness (with or without clothes, with or without other people), buying beachfront property, rehabbing houses, and on and on ad nauseam. Thank you for this well deserved jab, very well penned.

I have \'met\' these \'people\' online in various guises. Keyboard warriors and trolls they are often named.
Great original poetry here, i\'ve not seen this subject covered before. Good one!

I love your AAB rhyme scheme! Anyway, \"pretend warriors\'--video games. \"Having no moxie to face the worlds strife\"---Actually that could pertain to a lot of people but I think you are referring to social media here.....This is a great poem!!--Christina

I admit I had to google Euhemerism, (you are expanding my vocabulary), and I thank you for that. This is thought provoking and so beautifully written. I fixated on \"carbon footprints pressed into diamonds\", the imagery of that just blows my mind. Thank you for this wonderful piece.

Wow I love this! I feel that boatman line refers to the trip made to the Underworld in Greek mythology in which you need to pay Charon, the ferryman of the underworld, a certain coin or else you\'re doomed to swim in the dark waters of the Styx for 100 years. From the title I feel that this could be an evolution from not relying on others to depending on yourself. Great job!

I love the paradoxical nature of your poem. Do we take on the attitudes of those we\'re surrounded by, simply by virtue of numbers? Or do we seek out those who think as we do, safety in numbers. Such a puzzlement. I love the way you pose your question. Well crafted piece.

So I assume this is about society viewing someone as either \"crazy\" or possibly \"provocative\" through their expressions (either artistical or personal) and forming judgments about whether or not it is \"morally okay\" to do those things. Interesting and it honestly happens quite often.

Often people become fixed in a way of believing because those around them share a certain view. To think outside that train of thought can become frightening for them. In the case of religions it is often child induced fear which has been instilled in them.

Zamm! I feel this is directed to Christians, and possibly religion in general, as inferred by the title. But honestly you spoke some truth though. I love the way you challenged morality in this one and I like your brazen tone.

Yes. Your perspective, or your \"attitude\" towards life will really alter everything around you. It\'s powerful and we must always stay firm in our beings and our worth.

This is a great play with words and fearing a headache i gave up trying to figure it all out.
On reflection, if i turned around and looked over my shoulder would i have the right to feel i\'d been left behind?

A beautiful poem that I can easily relate to. The older I get, the deeper I feel all the life I\'ve lived through those memories. I also wonder where did all that life go, and did I really do all those things. Yes dear friend, we did.

My grandchildren have just had their fourth and eighth birthdays. I found myself wondering what will be the childhood memories which will stay with them long into their adult years. I doubt I shall figure there as covid kept us apart and still does much to my displeasure.
That\'s where your two lines took me today. Bring on tomorrow.

Dear poet, wonderful symmetry, so pleasing to the eye in its composition, yet tugging at heart strings. It flows beautifully from one line to the next. You inextricably link the two most important things that a relationship should be based on. A wonderful read!

Love this take on matrimony, done with tongue in cheek. Gave me a chuckle. After 52 years of marriage it comes down to figuring out what makes your better half tick. Surprising the power you can wield with a little psychology. Guess I\'ve spilled the beans.
