Love the original, of course, and I do love the Jim Carrey version as represented in your pic. Just a great story with great heart and, of course, points us to the real meaning of Christmas. Well done, TeddyI The inner child in me, as well as the adult, thoroughly enjoyed this! โค๏ธ๐๐น๐

Nothing like a bit of Christmas cheer Teddy. Bad Grinch and hurrah for Santa. A very entertaining read while I am parked up waiting for one of my grandsons to turn up. A nice bit of happy from your talented pen ๐น๐๐๐

Pride is like a virus that takes over oneโs body. It has little use, but seems to be pervasive. Far better to be humble. Nicely said Teddy.

Dear Teddy, I imagined Gloria Gaynor belting out, I will survive. I sang it too in 1982, at the top of my voice. An anthem for broken hearts. Love your poetry dear Teddy. Have s beautiful day. ๐น

Superlatively charged depiction of the end of love often necessitating gumption and resilience to go through the process. Powerful expression Teddy.

How did you find that out from your studio in Italy Teddy, or did they pay you to come to the UK to report on those who have started to fully use the C word in December. LOL

I often think that it is our own feelings of grief that bleed through in some of our poetry. A creative outlet maybe. I started to write poetry when my Dad died. Your poem is certainly taking an introspective look dear Teddy and it is beautifully penned. Poetry is therapy. Hope your day is blessed with sunshine today. ๐น๐๐

Perhaps so, I often wonder that of myself. Just finished watching the new Norwegian Christmas film \"The Snow Sister\" which deals with death during this time of Year, one being born on the Eve, the other dying... So I\'m in a bit of a strange mood for a Sunday.... so this poem is sitting rather \"well\" in my awareness at the moment. Blessings.

So often we need to look in a mirror to recognize that those feelings or thoughts that we speak of pertain to ourselves. The most provocative poem. It gives one pause to think. Nicely done, Teddy.
