Maybe she meant an E. M. T. or maybe she\'s from another planet and we\'re all E.T.\'s to her, or maybe, he just wanted to borrow her phone and one thing led to another.
Your poem becomes more powerful with the line \"we still meet from time to time,\" and soars with your closing. A fun poem. - Phil A.

L.O.L. My second reading of \"Mushrooms\" today. Are they all coming out of there dark rooms? This one puts a twist on them, wait, that could be painful, let\'s just say that they are short but tasty, oops bad image, how about they\'re potent and make a great sauce. There I think I\'ve said something no one will pick on. But wait, what about the people who pick mushrooms? I give up. - Phil A.

I\'m sure that the S.F.T.P.O.M. will be pleased. Is there possibly a double entendre here, or is it just my warped mind? Either way, short, sweet, fun, you rule!!!

Wow, this word-art is for sure a masterpiece. Is it a sensation of being elsewhere when you create your art. You\'re right, what others think is inconsequential. What matters is the relationship of the artist to the art. In this case both are beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed by me. - Phil A.

We bow to convention, and sadly lose ourselves in the process. To regain that \"I\", does take courage and determination which you have so brilliantly captured here. Love the pic as well.

The picture and the image you created with your words are one and the same and so well tell the truth about setting ourselves (yourself) free, by letting our mind be open and therefore expanding the horizon. Beautiful!

My comments on the poem \"Caged birdโ€ by Teddy.15

The photo shows a personโ€™s head like a cage, with the cage door open and a bird flying off in the distance. Thus, you have broken free from the cage.

A paraphrase of the poem :
Stanza 1 : It is your heart that enabled you to survive in the face of such odds. The quality of your heart is gentle. Yet, it has the strength to allow you to survive the ordeals. Your feathers would have burned your soul, such was the agony imposed on you by the imprisonment. You had been jailed for so long that your freedom had become something of the past.

Stanza 2 : These depressing thoughts bring even more damage to your mind. You need to change them into something positive; it is positivity that will save you. โ€œharmony entwinedโ€ : the search for a balance that will save your sanity.

Stanza 3 : You are patiently waiting for the day humanity comes to its senses and frees you. Humanity should get some consolation in the thought that you will do your best after getting your freedom and that you will face any future constraints.

Stanza 4 : The winds were once gentle but now they have gathered strength and are driving you possibly towards destruction. โ€œblazing sunโ€ : after liberation, there is no telling what would happen; there might be dangers. However, you remain steadfast in hoping that things will work out for you. โ€œcourageous assumptionโ€ฆ.. yet to be undoneโ€ : your will to fight through future obstacles is strong.

Stanza 5 : You ask lightning to kill you off if you are not allowed a free life. You ask for compassion to be the force that will open the cage --- your jail. The opening of the cage will set both your mind and your body free.
