You put such a humorous spin on such a painful condition in this poem. And your poxy chicken has that \"What the....? on his face. All kidding aside, this was such a fun read on such a painful and anxiety ridden experience. The last MRI that I had was for my knee. The machine was shorter, somewhat more open, they gave me a warm blanket, played my choice of classical music, the only thing missing was a nice glass of Lambrusco. Wishing you a healthy recovery and an MRI free future my friend.

Teddy, I’m so sorry to hear that you are still suffering.
I must thank you though. You have in passing , mentioned your shingles before. It was in fact you and that mention which motivated me to request my Shingrix shots, the second of which I had last week.

With respect to the MRI, I know I cannot do that without sedation, which I requested during my recent hospital stay. I had to beg and because of the culture in that particular hospital, it was a degrading experience, but necessary all for the sake of one bloody valium tablet.

Get well soon.

A tragic event turned humorous. Never the less I am not sure which is worse the misery of shingles or the claustrophobia. Whether fantasy or real this piece evokes compassion. Hope all is well.

Oh Teddy, I sincerely hope this poem is your wonderful imagination and not a reflection of what is happening in true life. I have heard how painful shingles can be. As for scanners, the last one I had I never thought I’d get through. Too claustrophobic, if I have to have another one, I will need a nice cocktail before I start. If you did a runner I wouldn’t blame ya. I can see the funny side here. Love your spotted chicken. Have a lovely day Teddy.

Words of light that pave the way to another day. Oh so bright in the night to wake for another fight. Days come and they go where we\'ll be no one knows. Excuse my little revere I know that where ever you go you will take the light with you. A most touching piece thanks for sharing.

A most beautiful painting in vibrant colored words. I love the implication that the great thing brought and the miracle is contained in the last line
\" this wonderful universe really is, full of life.\" and in fact I believe you have hit on it. Of all the universe\'s miracles that is the greatest and as in all miracles something we still do jot understand. A most beautiful write Teddy.

Just so comforting. Like a warm blanket on a cold day Teddy. You brought my mum to me this morning and I can’t thank you enough for that. I love your Angel poem and your beautiful posted art work. Have a happy Sunday dear poet.

Reflecting Upon One\'s Very Own Finale
sorenbarrett said:

A thought that most don\'t think of. We are two things: what we experience and feel, the joy and pain, and two what others see of us and remember of us. The first goes away in death the second remains even if just for a while. A lovely write so deep in its meaning.

And you found me on the underside of that glittering orb. What vision Teddy.... Must\'ve been the mirrors....

Is it my imagination or are people leaving/taking a holiday? Never mind, now you\'ve seen me...... I won\'t go anywhere. 😊

What a wonderful way of stating that there are moments in time that we wish would never pass. I too have a few that are permanently branded in my mind. Your word choice is perfect for the occasion. I can only imagine that your faces substituted for the red light.

I believe in miracles. You sexy thing.

Well Hot Chocolate sang that years ago Teddy and I remember that song so well.

Your posted artwork is so beautiful, a perfect match for your fine poetry. Of course I believe in miracles. They do happen just very occasionally. Have a lovely day. 💐

They do happen indeed guaranteed. The odds of being born who you are is beyond a miracle. That all of your ancestors should have survived, met and had each next generation is beyond impossible in probability. Should one have altered you would not be you.
