Rather spooky in that we both wrote of silence at the same time but you the more cheerful of poets in a somber tone and I the more morose in a tone of longing a most beautiful peace, I hope it is not personal. Fantastic metaphors\"
\"The clocks have stopped ticking
no chimes, no bells
no sound\"
I can hear the silence.
\"death has stolen my warm blanket\" another great line.
\"every clock in my house
now without hands\"
brilliant!
and the last line
\"my love, my love now gone.\" carries a bit of the flavor of Poe. A most wonderful write.

Haunting depiction of death\'s encapsulation. Sad and remarkably beautiful at the same time. This is one to read over and over.

Dear Teddy even your parent’s account of the war has left the generational trauma. The damages are real, be it on the TV screen, or falling from the red skies above. Please keep writing as poems have real impact…

Such good advice in poetic form. Both sides need to be considered and attempted but generally the consequences of disregard fall heavier on the reality side. The format of this poem with the first two stanzas taking on the nabla form or inverted triangle. Is this a reference to femininity, differential operator in vector calculus or just my imagination surrounding \"possibility, possibility\" and not reality. Nicely done my friend.

Separated by many more years than Europe from war on her own ground, the Americas feel relatively peaceful. Fewer reminders remain but the television brings it into the home in a surreal way, never before possible. Distanced from death that is separated by plastic, it feels distant. Your poem evokes many buried images of past horrors and atrocities of war, not so distant. I loved your most poetic title and last line \"our skies are red with blood\" and instead of just watching it passively on TV as if it were a sunset, we need to do something to prevent it. Very nice Teddy

Hey Teddy – you’ve cracked it for me inasmuch as I experienced what you relate in parts of your rich poem. Your dismissal of war history I can only endorse.
Your concluding lines are solid, for which I am in frantic agreement and gratitude.

(I’m not mentioning the 40-inch flat screen television….mine’s only 32….😊).

\"I sleep alone
yet, I dream of you\"
A great line. In this plea for lost love, whether lost by distance or by other forces, there is a commitment that extends beyond time and space.
\"and I will wait, until
the great wrinkles in the moon
fade for the very last time
and I too am gone.\" Romantic and a commitment that few would be willing to issue in this day and age of fickle relationships. Nicely done Teddy.

As I read I notice that I have expectations as to the outcome of each work and tension builds as it appears that I was wrong and the unexpected is about to occur, and so is life. A wonderful expression of this in so few words again.
