Paradise Gone
dusk arising said:

Your writing today brought to mind the dying thoughts of a young soldier. Unsure of his faith and of course unsure of life after death.

There are no answers for any of us and your words amplify this.

A very strong write from you today.

Ouch! Get rid of that hate. Hate is no good in anyone\'s life, it\'s far too negative.

This is quite lovely. The longing reaches out. The male side of me says \'do something about it if you feel so strongly\', But not being female i guess this is one area where my feminine side cannot reach.
Maybe a pint of Heineken would help me. Their slogan is \'Heineken refreshes the parts other beers cannot reach\'.

Aa Harvey,

I enjoyed reading this wonderful write. I do hope that one day, when you look in that mirror, you will see the reflection you’re hoping for!

Thank you for sharing.

Your well written poem reminds me that we should be much more open with our inner thoughts. How do you know somebody if they don\'t talk?
I like it!

Tell me
Clara said:

This reads almost inviting but slightly dangerous. Do I want to tell you anything... I do and I don\'t. Very intriguing. Then the ending there, about not being a fount. Bubbles and waterfalls. Almost seems as if the whole conversation would be almost pointless. Curious little poem indeed, great work.

So sad, so real. The road oflife is very steep. The waters, treacherous
and very deep and often times they will make you weep. then life will push you to the brink, to show you. You\'re a lot tougher than you think.
Remember, when you feel you can no longer stand. You can always reach out and tag Heavenly Hands.

A good example of staying as young as we feel A.A. - I like the words \"self-repair\" which is always easier with someone who cares - - good read.

I like this. Wanting to be with your loved one in heaven but hoping they live a full time before you meet again. True love indeed.

How true these word A.A. - we must treat the bit in between as a gift for sure. Thanks for the wise reminder.

dusk arising said:

Yep, thats exactly how life is. There are only two certainties. We are born and we die. The bit in between is a gift..... so many don\'t make it into the later years.

Striking out at christianity\'s deaf ears eh? A doomsday warning for any soul but still they will hold high the cross. One wonders what jesus would actually think of that cross being used as some form of worship by a human race who nailed him to it and tortured him.
Well as a non believer I\'m lucky to have the freedom to ask such questions.
Yep, death awaits us all. No one wishes a painful death but with age comes the acceptance of our fate and, though not necessarily in the christian tradition, a faith that there is something more.
Very enjoyable read.

A profound message for whom discrimination has been normalized by those who see it as that. Your poem is a call to an awakening and a reminder, that esteem of self is our right, not to be grabbed by self-styled gods. I wrote something touching on a similar theme using a very different approach. My most recent poem related to this issue is titled \"The Stamp\". I hope you have time to read it and comment. Peace.

Kill a love
Evergreen said:

I can really feel your pain in this write. Losing the one we love feels like losing a limb. I’ve been where you are. I’ve felt hopeless and lost and alone. Just when you think you’ve lost your everything, that you’ve lost “the one”, keep your head held high and learn to love yourself. When you lose love you need to be able to recognize it’s not your fault. Things happen for a reason. Stay strong, you got this.
