I feel you in this poem identifying with the general thought. Age takes its toll as cynicism grows. What was familiar now only a memory and what one sees one does not want to. A sad write of the world condition through the eyes of one that has seen better.

This brought to mind how many times people assume that my poems are reflections of my life and how many times they are wrong and how many times they are right. One is wrong to assume for there are many secrets I would not tell while others I do freely. Nicely written

AI in the hands of the lunatics will do what pandemics couldn\'t, wipe us out.
It will also cure all illnesses, which is a contradiction in terms.
Will it make me a better footballer, or is that a step too far.

Thomas W Case said:
This is a frantic, paranoid ride through AI, technology, money, and the fear of unleashing something we can’t put back in the damn cage. The fractured rhythm fits the subject beautifully—it feels like the speaker is watching the machine accelerate while humanity scrambles to understand what it just created.

There is a wonderful contradiction in this poem in the line I want to fall in love. Like wanting a reflex or a autonomic response love can not be wished but must be felt. Yet there are those that work on loving someone and over time do so as in arranged marriages. Nicely said.

What a wonderful metaphor. It takes the undesired and most loathsome creature (and so are some people or events) and treats it with compassion and understanding (as we should those things that annoy us) and simply asks that we free them. Our encounter with such annoyances are brief and better to let them go than dwell upon them or even try to destroy them. Very nicely presented in so few words. Loved it a fave

It is always interesting to me what people label vintage or classic. Young kids call anything before this year vintage and anything pre 2020 classic. As for me anything before 1960 is vintage and pre 1900 is classic. As for black and white movies they have some of the best 12 Angry men a first rate movie even by Rotten Tomatoes, Citizen Kane another good one. Nicely written
