How sweet that you are so observant, and how wonderful that you have not lost the ability to be pleasantly surprised by someone\'s unexpected appearance.

They sure do, don’t they? A painful memory or a pleasant smirk… Catching us at the spot we happen to be. Great writing. Thanks for sharing!

This poem is haunting and sad. Past memories can be sad but they can also be happy and cheerful depending what we choose to focus on. Loved this poem and its sense of distance and haze in the memory that seems to fade away at the end of the poem. Most lovely

Your first poem seen as an oblation and accepted with gratitude, A lovely write of dedication to all. The second one of resignation and sacrifice a deterministic end. Very nicely done.

Poetic Licence said:

These are wonderful pieces of writing, the first describing horrific injury\'s sustained and the sense to be alive. The second trying to cope with the aftermath of the injury\'s and the effects it has on them and their loved ones, haunting, touching and emotional writing well done

Both poems so well written. You have come a long way in your writing. The first graphic and so well expressed I thought at first you were speaking from the mouth of a deer that had been hit on the road but was mistaken to find it was you. A metaphor possibly as well. The second a continuation? Is this the trauma that left you broken? I can only wonder due to the juxtaposition. Lovely writing
