The AGE of sexual consent in the UK is still 16 for M / F sex and gay or lesbian sex. However due to the internet sexpicity Young people are having intercourse younger and younger and females no longer seem to value their virginity. Most of the 20th C sexual taboos no longer apply ~ there are no absolutes ~ so as you imply it is each man & woman for themselves. Yes (as you state at the end of your poem) the guidelines for sexual behaviour in society were set down by GOD himself and are contained in the Bible. If we deliberately choose to follow Vox Populi instead of Vox Dei then we reap the scourges of sexual promiscuity whih invade the Modern World. Don't blame God ~ it is Man who is culpable !
