Your poem brings to mind the saying ... \"Do what you love and you\'ll never work a day in your life.\" Your poem reflects that theme very well, WBL. I enjoyed it!

Who Needs Weeds?

Good write and very true when applied to people but with those in the garden weeds are only plants in the wrong place.

Who Needs Weeds?

WBL, the problem is that some weeds are so beautiful. And they serve the bees too, so something good can be seen as well. Otherwise, completely agree, even people we consider \'weeds\' may have some good in them somewhere, if we look deep and long enough. But then we have to wonder if it is worth the effort.

Ahh - I fell a tad sorry for the weeds - after all they are only plants growing where us humans don\'t want them to grow. Being a vicious human type person I an always yanking them out and am beginning to feel a bit guilty but I still love the write.

Doh, I dunno! I water people\'s weeds as well as their plants, if I pop in while they\'re away on hols. I told them I\'m no gardener...... heehee.
Weeds - \"a waste of space\"? As certain people too?!

I wonder. Is it people can be like weeds? Or weeds can be like people? Excellent write..

Great sponge/cleaning/throwing out/shopping poem. Am sure that with just a little bit of digging I would find metaphors for all kind of life situations here! Imagination at its best.

A fine write WBL lol. Much more of this and I shall be feeling sorry for the lamp-post on a wet day. I shall bring it indoors, or get a 15 foot umbrella for it - or however tall lamp-posts are! heehee.

A Hat For That
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

Thanks for sharing HONEY ! Like you I wear many hats in the week ~ some invisible (like my \"Hat of Odes\") others have to be visible for H & S reasons ! like my Crash Helmet ~ My Hard Hat (when i\'m on a Building Site or in the Mountains ! } and My Chefs Hat (if I\'m in the College Kitchen !) Today your hat definitely had a \"P\" on it and not a \"D\" ~ Hugs BRIAN
