Big smiles here, really enjoyed this. Also i\'m really appreciating you still life/landscape artwork. How do you describe them. So simple yet so very clever. My imagination runs away looking at these.

Thanks MICHAEL ~ The English language is full of HOMONYMS and I sent one back to STEVE recently who used HYPERBOLE (love the sound of that word very Hellenic). I told him it should really be HYPERBOWL and it is a big Stadium in New York were they play ROUNDERS ! My fave fishy one is the Atheists Bible ~ In the beginning COD ! Thanks for sharing & intriguing. Love the Houses ~ as FAY says very CORNWALL. We get a lot of drift wood (etc) carvings @ Snape Maltings (Suffolk) have you ever been ? Yours as always BRIAN

Oh lol, a fine write and pic Michael. Along the lines of Miss Berles. What\'s it called when words can be something else - if you know what I mean? e.g. \'Bill Posters\' is another one.
There is \'anthromorphism\' if that can apply to words too?
Google \'Cilla Berles\' and weird stuff appears!

Two laughs in one setting - great.

A big smile came to my face when I saw the sculpture and changed into a laugh when I read the words.
Thank you Michael.

This delightful write made me chuckle and the sculptures are getting better and better!
Awesome!

You could argue that cinema is not an art form compared to theatre. You could argue that electric instruments are not as good as acoustic instruments. As the world changes, the means to create art will also change. Good thought provoking write.

Michael,

A fascinating posting that has initiated many discourses on the subject matter...DIGITAL ART
I usually don’t read comments made by other readers; however, this got my attention!
An enjoyable read.
All I can say is
“beauty is in the eye of the beholder”
or “to each his own”!

Love your artwork!

I write my poetry upon a laptop using a word processor... definately digital. In what possible way can that make my work any lesser or greater than the quill written piece.
Creativity is the essence of art... conveying ones vision/thoughts/senses through whatever media.

Thanks UNCLE STEVE : I am a NAIVE ARTIST so my prognosis (as a Physiotherapist) would be (as with Poetry & Music) in the 21st C : All Art Forms deserve EQUAL recognition. Otherwise how would there be any progress in the ARTS. MAORI ART is classed as PRIMITIVE but it has its own intrinsic beauty that (to my mind) would class it alongside one of the ESSEX / SUFFOLK Artists : John Constable : OK? Brian & I both love HOCKNEY and have visited his EXHIBITION in a Mill in Yorkshire !
Love your POEM and in principal I agree : There should be no RIGID RULES in Art, Poetry, Music, Dance etc just let it flow : dont Appraise & ENJOY. Brian should be back peomising next week ! Love ANGELA XXXX lease check my poem JESUS & BRIAN COMFORT ME : Thanks A.

Hmm, I see. it\'s not the same as actually painting or sculpting, etc with your own hands, is it?
It\'s a bit like basing one\'s poems on other poems in a way, maybe.
Although each work is original, painted by hand, digital, or whatever.
I once was about to put some rubbish in a bin at a show, then realised it was one of the displays. doh! Ohh, and \'The unmade bed\' was in it too.
Here endeth my ramblings on art.

I can see art in most things - a pile of rubbish can be quite fascinating if one looks at it closely. How the shapes and form and colours interact with each other and so why should it not apply when assembled by man. For this reason I found the bricks quite fascinating when I saw them as I did when viewing Emins bed last year. Did they deserve all the hype? Probably not and could have been done by schoolchildren but that wouldn\'t have made any difference except for the attendant publicity.

Yes where\'s that bottle of wine?

It i a question often asked about art. Was the \"Equivalent VIII\" by Carl Andre bought by the Tate in 1970 art, or was it just a lot of bricks.
As you know I have a fairly open mind about art and certainly about music. Art and music only have two types, that which you like and that which you do not.
Good write Michael and an interesting question.
Surely there should be a table next to the seat with a bottle of wine and two glasses on it.
