A fine write and pic Michael. Some used to come in an office window when we opened it. It was invading us, as triffids, but some of it got the chop! Why does she keep growing, this ivy lass?!

Ivy can be so wonderful Michael, but I do wish it would stay out of my garden, I need to go and assault it today as it has taken over the bottom of our garden.

Cracking abstract.

orchidee said:

Cooeee! Yes, the second one reminds me of, said muchly at some churches: \'As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen!\' Nope, not referring to the long sermons - hope not!

Where Have All The Poets Gone?
Goldfinch60 said:

Yes this happens but I will not be moving on, I will still post every day and hopefully the other poets will return.
As you say a classic song written by Pete Seeger in 1955, the song was extended in 1960 to complete the round by Joe Hickerson and Pete Seeger\'s version was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1964.
The Joan Baez version was first sung in German but she did sing it in English as a tribute to Pete Seeger.

I have been wondering the same thing. I have myself been writing less but I\'ve noticed a complete absence of other poets that used to be regulars. And they are missed! Glad you brought it up!

THANKS FOR THE WARNING MICHAEL ! This happens on all Poetry Site ~ they reach an apex and then fall away ! I try to welcome & encourage new Poets but there are very few (like you & I) who aim to post every day and post actual POETRY with Rhyme ~ Rhythm ~ Rational and share Classical Forms like Sonnets ~ Villanelles ~ Haiku etc to educate & entertain ! We\'re not wasting our time because something rubs off on everyone and some have asked me to edit drafts ~ which is a great honour. What I dislike most is when the EDITOR just decides to close it down and it all disappears ! Including yourself I have about TEN cyber Poetic Friends on MPS and I would be sorry to lose then overnight and them me ! It is a good site with a lot of mutual respect & exchange ! We all have to keep active but realistic ~ Yours BRIAN

I feel like brighter poets, I know that! Not in intelligence sort of brightness. And yet it helps to express negative, downcast, depressive, etc emotions. (Well, don\'t read those sort of poems then, Orchi! doh!)

THE SILENCE BROKEN
Pintu Mahakul said:

Septolet style of writing poem is definitely interesting. The canopy of green in silence motivates mind and does magic. Sometimes natural sound breaks silence but this is pleasurable. This poem is really excellently penned.

A land of mediaeval dreams is a land of purple path and this has revealed greatest joy in life through perception. A pitcher plant in mossy swamp amazes mind. This poem is really very interestingly drafted with rich imagery and we get a clear essence with great imagery. This poem is excellent poem.

THANKS MIKE ~ A Pitcher Plant is carnivorous and traps insects for food ! They are also inhabited by FAERIES ! I love mediaeval fantasy poems and this is a good example ! Your metre is impeccable and there is sufficient rhyme & half rhyme to make it smooth to both read and recite ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN

A fine write and pic Michael. Mediaeval - would that be around 1066? If so, I know it well. Or is that too early for it?!
