Thanks MICHAEL ~ A true English Garden should have an IVY WALL (my Parent\'s Garage has one) or at least a Rose Hedge ! Thanks for the Rondelet ~ always a delight to recite ! For me WATER is the ultimate MOLECULE H - O - H (angular 105 degrees) and any poetic tribute WATER (the amphoteric hydroxide of hydrogen !) makes my day ! Thanks for explaining the classical form ~ All poetry sites should explain Classical Structural Form and Rhyme Pattern etc. Thanks BRIAN

Thanks MICHAEL for composing and sharing this excellent 6-6-2 Blank verse sonnet ! I can emphasise with the metaphor of Life & Sailing ! I was raised on the W Coast and live on the E Coast and have spent many hours \"messing about in boats\" I have lots of salt in my Blood Stream. Verse 1. When you are in mid-ocean ~ You always long for the shore Verse 2. WE learn more about the reality of life \"afloat\" than on the shore ! Verse 3. Sailors always believe the next cruise will be the BEST ! My Parents have a Patio outside the french Windows and this afternoon (55F) I enjoyed a Pot of Earl Grey and scones ! thanks for Sharing ~ BRIAN.

A fine write M. Sounds a bit hymnal. I could maybe turn it to a hymn-poem, if you wish?
We got a bit of rhubarb at back of our garden. You on that gin yet?!

Ha ha ha - - what hidden depths you quill in today\'s epigram Michael -- - love this cheeky but clever touch of fun. Great picture of a colourful corner out in your garden too.

Michael,
Thank you for the picture! Very colorful! I like the variety of flowers! Do the other borders have flowers also?
The epigram is hilarious! From reading all the comments, I see you got a lot of mileage out of that number three! I could make a joke, but I’ll restrain myself! I’ve enjoyed my first read of the day very much!
I’ll have my gin and tonic (one of my favorites) later on in the day! You said it needs to be made properly! What’s your recipe? Another favorite of mine is a very dry Martini!
Thanks again, Michael! You’re awesome!
