Judging from this shorty, maybe you should write a whole history book! It would definitely get more kids to love history!

Thanks MIKE ~ Love the abstract of the FLAMENCO DANCER ~ Love Andalusia ! One liners are always pithy ~ My fave is the last one ~ Strangers on darkened Streets are never Friends ~ I have found this to be TRUE. I am too fit to be mugged but some have tried and some have (almost) died ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN ~ Please check my Fusion ~ B !

KISS ME HARDY
Goldfinch60 said:

In that battle where he fell
He could not get up and yell
So the words were then misheard
Kismet Hardy was the word.

Good fun write Michael. There is a theory that Nelson did in fact say \"Kismet Hardy\".

Michael, I could not have said it better myself! Seems to me the USA are regressing back to the days of the wild west. Guns should be made illegal. Period.

A true gem of wisdom you have produced here sir! Begs the question why do so many lives have to be lost before the inevitable talks begin.

On a lighter side, no point in banning guns - its the ammunition which kills.

Michael - my town had an infamous school shooting (Newtown) but it made no difference to the NRA. There is a violent streak in this country (US) that is sick beyond redemption. I truly believe if we had a coliseum, they\'d offer us killing games for a month to celebrate.

WHERE ONCE IN TIME I HELD DOMAIN
dusk arising said:

This read like a winter seasons reflection upon places i had known, life i had lived, peering dreamily over a cold, so cold landscape of the past. No bitterness, no regret, an acceptance of how life has changed me, and moved on. A little dark, a little melancholy. Quite beautiful. Into my favourites.

Yes, Michael, this poem is \'a tad sad\' (great expression!), but exciting as well to think that one day we (our souls) will be able to visit that \'domain we once held\'! Beautiful language as usual!

Michael,
This write is brilliant
in its entirety!
After reading it a few
times, the last stanza
flooded my thinking!
It resonates more than
it should...especially
with the elderly and
those who give up hope!
I see it and hear it when
I visit the nursing homes
and the rehab centers!

Thanks MICHAEL ! Whether you\'re a MAN or FISH (love all the sculptures !) as one gets over life ebbs and the Glory diminishes and the river of time flows relentlessly. At 35 I\'m still in my PRIME and there is the question of marrying (ANGELA ?) and raising a Family. As far as work is concerned I am still on he WAY UP ! Head of Science ~ VP and then perhaps PRINCIPAL ! Without ambition we stagnate ! But having said that one also sees how one\'s DOMAIN can disappear ~ I\'ve seen it happen and it is NOT NICE ~ A Friend of mine (45) recently suicided off a Motorway Bridge because his WORK DOMAIN disappeared ~ Leaving a grieving WIDOW & three distraught Children ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN

Yes, love is all that, Michael, and much more like sharing our joys and sorrows, watching that sunset together, getting wet in the rain together, and.....letting the other one drive the car without any backseat driver comments!!!
