A COUPLE OF 575s
dusk arising said:

I like that, pulsing hum of street traffic, the heart of the town. All the traffic has been driven out of my towns by pedestrianised (horrible word) zones. The hum has indeed become distant.
Your first piece here though invites me and readily I visualise and feel the sweltering sun and stifling humidity.

Michael,
Beautiful words, beautiful painting!
To paraphrase dusk,
you create love and see beauty in your writings, paintings, and photos! It is a pleasure to view and enjoy your works of art!

The eyes of an artist see beauty where others see nought. The hands of an artist create love where others fumble.
Wonderful picture, no wonder it was desired so much.

It is so easy to rush through life, and we do so when we are young. As I get older, I find myself slowing down to enjoy things more. Time goes by so quickly

A fine write and pic Michael. I went on an \'Arts Trail\' spread over three areas, even bordering different counties. I covered two of the areas, the other one was too far out.

BUTTERFLY
SLR said:

I love butterflies. So delicately beautiful. God sighs and butterflies break free from their chrysalis and grace us with their beauty. Hard to believe they\'re just beautiful insects. The \'flittering and fluttering\' does sound like butterfly wings, but I do also like dusks\' \'pulsing fluff\'. You guys are great!

dusk arising said:

Lovely to watch aren\'t they. I think you do catch their flitting flight well in your piece. Earlier this year i included the sound of a butterfly\'s beating wings in a poem, i described it as sounding like \'pulsing fluff\'.
Oddly, a lady i met recently was terrified of butterflies to the point of running away screaming. It takes all kinds i suppose.
I think of them as one of the most beautiful of all creations and the peace they bring to our countryside when one is immersed in it is quite tangible.
Thanks for making mme think butterfly.

A fine write and pic M. Ohh and there was I, battling through heavy rain, getting sodden, but \'snail-saving\', helping them on to the grass. Well, it takes them a long time to cross the path!

MERLOT
Laura🌻 said:

Michael,
I agree! A good vintage Merlot will do it for me and my husband! I’ll admit that in the past, as an adult, I only drank Pinot Grigio!
My husband is still strictly red!
Depending on the meal,
I do well with both!
So here’s to you šŸ·, Maestro, for a super write and a super painting!

Yes i agree, merlot can be relied upon and available in a range of moderate to low prices. My fav is cabernet sauvignon but it doesn\'t do to buy a cheaper one.
I have consumed more merlot in recent years. Such good taste!

Great analogy, whereas the thinking mind IS on a flexible \'line\', those prejudices are ever present to trip us up.

Are they still there when we\'re \'pegged - out?\' ... sorry, couldn\'t resist that.
