In the hope that those who have not yet considered both the futility and disgusting obscenity which warfare is, we must continue to enliven the message.
You lovely piece today surely will set many grey cells to contemplate this viewpoint.

Peter Jackson\'s They Shall Never Grow Old brought this war from back in the distance to right in front of our faces again...... and the agony of another one only 21 years later so fresh .... they won\'t learn..... they never do.

I am always amazed at the sheer tenacity and drive to survive many of these moorland wonders must have to withstand the various ravages and forces that collectively conspire to try and destroy or kill them off .....

You describe them to a tree .. so ya do .............................................................. Neville

As one civilisation begins to learn, healing the wounds of conflict bourne wisdom ... so another rises beneath a despot bent upon accumulation of whatever it takes to sate it\'s need for power.
Blood flows and wisdom again rises too late from the bloodbath only to be shortlived.

And so we approach the saddest month of rememberance.... but with what new resolution.... with what wisdom that will make a change....

I really appreciate the gentle rhythmic sway of owned brilliance in all your writes Fay!
it\'s in the coaxing gentle lull of those trademark early lines,
as if: they know this work will be wonderful and they need not rush to grasp at foraging hands and eyes, those that can feel poetry will know - they are in the presence of pure poetic authenticity as the stanzas unroll and your words seep-in - ever deep,

Such a powerful message you write. I needed this relatable poem so thank you for posting Fay! Your work is always such a pleasure to consume. I was just thinking about these concepts the other day. How the past is what keeps us going right now since we have so little surety over what will happen next. I was also contemplating how little we can trust the media and our information sources these days. \"We make Kings from deceit,
Lords out of treachery then
Queens from hurt feelings\" This is absolutely true......
