Lovely piece sir. Picture reminds me of Skye.
When they are gone, what thoughts accompany them through the years. Chased off their homesteads by capitalist lairds. Where do they end up.
Today we look at these ruins of their past with romantic eyes but the very existence in that land of those times must have been hard work for all.
Yes their souls haunt their lands.

Oops, I\'m working, maybe not intentionally, on saying as much as possible - or so it seems sometimes. I think \'I\'ll just do a little write\', and then... I waffle? lol

So very true Andrew, I see it all the time, especially where my wife and I go for coffee. I just don\';t see the point of sitting at a table opposite each other and having heads down looking at a screen. Personal conversation is so much more rewarding.

Face to face is now out of fashion - even when together the face is looking down at a screen and not at each other - read this a couple of times and it just gets better.

Wonderful write Andrew. No matter how we want to rid ourselves of things or people they will always be with us in one way or another.

The well-chosen image speaks loudly in accord with your powerful words in this plea for and end to pretence - - \"I want the me I used to be\" must be a familiar cry in these troubled time my friend. A compelling read Andrew.

Such a tender feel to this poem Andrew - -angels are guardians to those who would wish and who knows where they will lead us - a lovely reminder that we are not left all alone.
