I\'m not into politics much. It\'s said, you may know, the church is the Tory party at prayer. Is it?!

Hear hear - my first reaction was that our politicians are doing their very best in difficult circumstances and they probably are. But they have so much to answer for when you consider their abject failure in the past to prepare us - unlike Germany no forward thinking has put so many at risk.

Like your poem very much Goldie! Meeting somebody by chance who is going through the same hardship one went through just shows that we are not alone. And helping that other person might lighten our own load maybe just a little bit. Well written!

To be able to meet one who understands through experience is a sure blessing dear Andy -- true friendships are made of sharing good times and bad.

A fine write Gold. On occasions I have met people, usually when I have stopped, resting at a bridge for example.
Erm, I saw someone walking backwards with shopping one day. Bit tricky to have a chat with them! In practice for the \' Annual Walking Backwards Half-Marathon?!\'

Initially, I imagine, there\'s a reassuring comfort in meeting a fellow traveller along life\'s highways of devastating experiences when you can share mutually experienced recent history. But I wonder what feelings one is left with on returning home, reflecting over a cup of coffee.... Reading your words today it\'s is the after effect, the unspoken bit, which tugs at me Goldfinch. There\'s more than one piece of verse to be written therein.

BRIAN HERE ~ Angela is in the Melting Pot ~ but Noblese Oblige ! Great SCETCH from TBT et al ! And in some ways true ! One only has to read between the lines in Dickens to realise *The Good Old Days* were really *The Bad Old Days* in disguise. In 50 years time COVID 19 will be Science Fiction like Quatermass !
Now that I have my Own Garden and Im *Home Alone* *I talk to the Trees ~ and they do listen to me* The WUHAAN *Live Meat Market^ has a lot to answer for ! Good Pome ! *Miss Otis & I regret ~ we*re unable to post today ! *

Life can be so bloody cruel! At a time when your positive nature had you in a new lease of life along comes corona with solitary confinement. Difficult at the best of times for anyone faced with months of this and for you, in your time of loss, all the more unkind.
Missing and grieving are a fact of life when loved ones are taken so allow yourself full flow of emotions when you need to.
You know tomorrow there will be brighter days for whatever purpose and in finality you will again be together.
Wishing you strength of will today.... stay safe

Coincidentally i took up ukelele last year. A £9.99 purchase in Aldi. The strings were awful and were quickly replaced. It\'s very rewarding to reach out and grab it (always within a metre of where i sit relaxed) and sing along. Just basic stuff. Mines one of the tiny ones (can\'t believe i just typed that) and as a six footer i need a bigger one (nor that) and i shall be getting one when they allow me out to endanger the world again.

I totally share the words of your writing today. You and me are blessed with a positive outlook though and i do believe that makes a tremendous difference.

I wish i could be out and about offering help in these times. I\'d love to make someones day a special day with a favour, a chat and maybe a shared cuppa.... let\'s see what the future holds.

Hello Goldfinch60,

A wonderful write and so true of life.

Its only in recent years that I am seeing my bad experiences and periods in life as episodes that have strengthed my character.

Gosh, many years ago I would get angry.

Keep healthy and writing.
