\'My River had reached out to me
And said “Why are you ignoring me?”
So My River and I became one again.
Its beauty shone for me.
The smooth, clear green water
Giving me the clarity of thought.\'
\'\'Beauty is truth: truth beauty\'\' wrote Keats and your honest works are testament to the veracity of his words,
in the beauty of Joyce you so effortlessly imbue within each syllable of devoted dedication, you unveil the truth that burns immortal your cherished love,
a truly moving write Andy

Until i read the third line i thought you were going to tell us how to make an egg.

I thought that stuff grew on trees alongside the spaghetti trees in a pasta orchard.

I enjoyed the silyness of this, gave me a good laugh at all the mess u create.... just how far away is Lidl from you?.... they have it in nice neat un-messy bags you know.

I used to be everso messy with home baking.... the bread machine was a boon.... and i\'ve just started buying those part baked french sticks from tesco... great with soup.... from a can.

Good write Gold.
You go into some Staff Kitchens and it looks like someone has been throwing stuff around the room. Public areas may be immaculate, but staff areas can be horrendous. I mean the washing-up areas - nobody does it until we run out of cups or plates!

The current is steady but the flow is deep, strong and perpetual. A motion which will not cease until journeys end and ..... just as with a rainbows end.... treasure awaits.
Never allow the temptation which would taint the treasure with impatient haste.

Yes, we may hurry on, and not \'see\' the River. I\'m not walking every day now. It\'s not \'walking season\' really now.
You will surely walk together for eternity along the River of Life. :)

An awesome and good write Andy.

We should live in the moment and take one day at a time.

Keep writing ✍ and safe during lockdown.

Some people call what you have described and \'mindfulness\'. As if mindfulness is something new and marvellous. Hmmm... what have we been missing..... in truth nothing... we were always mindful of life around us and how we fit into the scheme of things.... well, that\'s you and me anyhow LOL

Is it just me or can everyone over 50 look back to much waiting, hesitancy and formality that inhibit the spirit of expression, limiting the highs and lows we experience. Thanks Goldfinch, for a gentle reminder to go for it now!
I really like this:
Stop waiting for it and make the most,

Make the most of the moment that you are in...
I try and avoid repetition but your use here reinforces the meaning. Neat, thanks for sharing.

I\'m gonna spend this moment in time, telling off people who keep saying \'This moment in time!\' See, they\'ve got me at it now. lol.
I mean, yes, say it sometimes, but basically no need for people to go mad with it! lol. There\'s another thing: \'Well, basically I.....\'

Such a wonderful perspective... Sometimes it\'s like I live in the past while fearing for the future. The journey is sometimes too rough for this weary soul of mine lol. Great poem though and a solid reminder that life is too short!

Such sound advice dear Andy -- those last two lines say it all - - only look back to see how far our journey has taken us -- good and wise thoughts.

dusk arising said:

Though looking back is inevitable, at our age having something, or the mindset, to look forward is i feel so very important.
Having made it so far we are so lucky. Looking back, if we must, there is a trail of those who didn\'t make it this far. I know you feel that all too readily in your heart everyday. You are quite remarkable. I think of myself as being a very positive person but i don\'t see myself as in the same league as yourself.
