Banter.
Fay Slimm. said:

I second that my dear friend Goldy - -whatever has happened to smiles banter brings ? School should be a place where children are taught the essentials in life and laughter is one of the most important...........

Banter.
dusk arising said:

I agree with you IF banter is what you and i grew up with and regard as the meaning of the word.
However, along with discipline being FORBIDDEN in the class room, respect has gone out of the window in the world of many pupils and therefore todays banter can be a totally different animal to our understanding.
If the whole of UK were to agree with this \'educational expert\' then, in the real world, it would make not one jot of difference because there is no way to enforce ANY rules in a school devoid of any discipline.
As i recall it, one of the first rulings we accepted from the EEC was that parent would no longer be able to physically discipline their offspring. In view of what that alone has done to our classrooms and society in general is it any wonder that the nation voted brexit?

Rant over.

You cads, you bounders, you.... - woof! Fido interrupted my rant. You lot stopping that bantering, I mean.
One school won\'t have bottles of water on desks. I had a hellish first-year at secondary school. Initiation of being thrown in the holly bush, etc.Well, the kids won\'t die of thirst.
Always dodgy to have cups of tea/coffee near I.T. equipment too.

Yes banter in jest, within the boundaries of respect, but freely, frivolously. Freedom to express allows for greater enhancement

Suresh said:

Our youth makes us race around, to gather as much and as fast as we can, no time to smell the flowers.

Infancy, a stage of exploration, to learn our surrounding.
Maturity, a stage of appreciation, to become our surrounding.

Love the famous duet between Louis & Bing ~ Gone Fishin\' instead of just a Wishin\' : Amen. STOP - LOOK - LISTEN was always a mantra of My Mamas : You\'ll never know what you missed ! I do more walking NZ and there is so so much to see & hear ! Thanks for the Poem ! Retirees tell me one of the many Joys of Retirement is that ONE DOES SLOW DOWN and thereby one gets much more out of life and there is always tomorrow. I guess I can retire at 55 on the NHS which is 2043 which dont seem too far away ! But I need to raise a Family (2 or 3 ?) first ! Not a lot of chance to slow down : Brian likes to do everything YESTERDAY !!! Have a lovely Day : Stopping : Looking & Listening !

That is a reallly refreshing read Goldfinch because it\'s clear you are really coming to terms with this huge upheaval in both your emotional and everyday life.
Respite care is a wonderful break for you and there is plenty of life going on out there for us in our later leisurely years (said he preparing to go and do half a days work).

GOOD MORNING ANDY ~ Thanks for the MUSIC ! We attended a Wedding in Wales (BALA) a couple of years ago and a Young Lady played softly on a HARP all through the meal ~ HEAVEN ! Angela wanted one but I told her its eitheThanks for you Poem ! It is a Problem faced my Church Members and friends of my PARENTS. Some find it heart rending but others see it as being CRUEL to be KIND as they need the RESPITE to enable them to care ~ a paradox ! The last six lines made us both cry. However it assured us that whatever we have to face in the future ~ underneath and round about are the loving arms of JESUS ~ AMEN !
Blessings & Love to you BOTH ~ now & forever !

Mad. You are delightfully mad! I put it down to the company you keep when out dining.

To say much more would be sue-perfluous.
