If MUSIC be the food of LIFE ~ play on

Thanks ANDY a beautiful haunting rendition to grace a SUNDAY ! Lifted my heart too. Love the POEM and it resonated with me. Having been blessed to be born in Liverpool to Musical Parents and with many musicians I am blessed indeed ! I too love all genres of Music and I even enjoy some of the Oddballs ~ Jules Holland invites to his Soirees ! I have been to a Jules Concert and I have a great respect for and his embrace of Good Bad & Ugly Music ~ Modern Music (like Modern Poetry) is a \"Collection of chords & dischords ~ but not necessarily in the correct key or correct order ~ and Lyrics sans Rhyme ~ Rhythm ~ Reason\" Being a Scouser I am always 101% tolerant and consider them \"Works in Progress ~ Sympnonies but UNFINISHED\" Thanks GOD for the Classics ~ Classic FM is always the Music in my Car irrespective of Passenger ! One of the many blessings of Angela (she is is a grade 8 pianist and reserve Church Organist) is that she loves and plays the Classics but also has a very Cosmopolitan appreciation of Music & Culture ! She is learning the HAKA and to sing in Maori and swing POI ! Thanks again for an excellent Poem and a Musical Gem ~ Please check my SUNDAY offering ~ BRIAN ~ A very Happy Birthday to YOU ~ BRIAN & ANGELA ~ Big Hugs !

Andy,
A great clip! Loved it!

Thatā€™s one of my favorite movies for many reasons! One of them...Diana Rigg! Sheā€™s one of my favorites!

I could add more comments about ā€œThat Old Boy Down the Roadā€...
but I think enough has been said. Besides, it doesnā€™t apply to any of my friends on MPS!šŸ˜Š

I enjoyed your share very much! Thank you!

Hugs to Joyce!

Thanks ANDY for reminding us that TEMPUS FUGIT ! One of the 100 advantages of being born XY rather than XX is the regular MALE ATTITUDE towards AGING ! We grow old naturally and don\'t hate it or understate it like LADIES ! At 35 I need reading glasses but not a hearing aid ~ I wear sensible shoes but I don\'t need a stick ~ I eat to live - I don\'t live to eat ~ I have never smoked ~ ALCOHOL ? less than 3 units a week ~ exercise ? ~ Hair no grey ! BUT EACH DAY ~ I am one day older but I live to live & love ~ but not to die ! Thanks for reminding us that Sooner or Later ~ WE TOO become the ubiquitous \"THAT OLD BOY DOWN THE ROAD !\" AMEN ! Yours BRIAN ~ Too Young to Die !

A Question of Life.
Jane Frye said:

Your poem made me smile, as well as, contemplate the amusing question you posed. We are born having between 90,000 to 150,000 hair follicles on our head, depending on, surprisingly, the color of our hair. So my first thought was, it is probably a very slim chance you can part your hair with same number of hairs on each side of the part, twice in a life time. However, if you part your hair regularly in the same place every day, you wear the hair down and cause breakage, thus, creating a natural path for your part, which may increase your odds of parting your hair with the same number of hairs on each side. But then I thought, the average healthy head of hair losses between 50 to 100 strains of hair daily, and the new hair cannot start to replace the fallen hair, until the fallen hairs, have fallen out. So, I would think that this means that the number of hairs on our head varies from day to day. And, as days go by, less and less of those hairs that fall out get replaced. So, I\'m thinking you probably have much higher odds winning the lottery to fund your retirement, than parting your hair two times or more with the same number of hairs on each side of the part. I do like your poem. :-)

You are not alone Andy.
I look at people who no longer take an interest in themselves or their appearance ( baggy trousers, collar and tie - dress sense about 5 decades out of date, hair never properly groomed, tufts on their chin where the razor blade missed). People who drive at 20 mph and take forever when it comes to manoeuvres to the frustration of all others. People who never hold themselves upright, no longer have any interests in life and seem to embrace the idea of the long box.
I think of them as the Old fart Brigade and then I realise they are my contemporaries.

I gave up on that lot last year and shaved my head. Ever since taking what for me was the rather bold decision to go bald i am surprised at the number of shaven heads there are out there.
Ever considered it?

HI ANDY ~ I more than agree ~ Being Young I have a great penchant for ABSTRACT ART ~ because it is often untitled and leaves the interpretation to the beholder. I can\'t understand why so many \"Seniors\" are dismissive of any ART that is not \"photographic\" is it prejudice or ignorance of that which is outside their experience or understanding ? I play a game with Michael because I always download his abstracts and orientate them and then (see my comments !) I inform Micheal of all I see in them ! He is very generous and always responds positively ! Micheal\'s great Poems ~ Photos ~ Paintings are a great blessing to MPS he raises the BAR ! Thanks for your eulogy ~ Yours BRIAN
