Spring Haiku. For Christina S
orchidee said:

A fine Haiku Gold. I would only depress anyone if I start singing for the joys of Spring! heehee.
How was the Spring of 1066, getting ready for the Battle in the Autumn (October)? I can\'t remember it very well.

Wonderful write and pic Gold. You remember us getting out our lyres, harps, zithers, cornets, sackbuts (what are they exactly) thousands of years ago?! And even today some or all of them still played?

Tapped Conversation.
Leisa Niamh said:

Sadly so true. I used to work in a pub and see families coming for a meal together - only to witness the adukts and the children all sat with either their phone, tablet or electronic game. No communicating or learning social skills etc. I now work supporting mentally ill and vulnerable adults and still the staff sit around all day with their phones permanently attached to them - tapping away. Its disgusting and I hate it. Why cant people just talk anymore, or just sit in silence and enjoy their surroundings.

Ken Dodd

I ran right away to find Ken Dodd on YouTube and he had me laughing with his delightful wackiness! Lovely tribute! I think actors/actresses/comedians that we grow to love will be remembered more than most! I have been binge watching \"Touch of Frost\" on AcornTV and the last episode came up two nights ago. They killed off his friend George and I cried for hours. I really needed someone to knock some sense into my head and remind me that it was only the character who died and not that lovely man, John Lyons........... ha ha......

Thanks ANDY for a lovely tribute to KEN ! For those of us Born & Bred in Liverpool DODD was GOD ~ The GOD of humour and \"Good Will\" ! Ken had innuendos but was never crude like many modern \"so called\" Comedians ~ He didn\'t have to be ~ Ken was a FUNNY MAN ! My Great Aunties (who lived in Knotty Ash ~ real place) remember KEN selling FEATHER DUSTERS (Tickling Sticks) out of the back of an old van ! Thanks for posting a song ~ Ken (like Bruce Forsythe) was multalented and I always felt it was that Comedians like Ken & Harry Seacome had such beautiful bel canto voices ! He could act and a friend of my Family who was Theatre Correspondent for the Liverpool Echo saw him playing Malvolio (Shakespeare) at the Liverpool Empire ! He was also a devout Christian (always finished his Concert with ~ It is no secret) and my \"Cousin\" Eunice tells me Ken could often be seen sitting quietly at the back in Liverpool\'s Anglican Cathedral. A great \"Joy Maker\" gone but never forgotten ! Yours BRIAN

A welcome and touching tribute to the great talent of Ken Dodd whose memory will always live on in the hearts and gratitude of his countless fans - Ken was a tonic for many decades and a fine example of what makes good humour. Thank you Goldie for these needed words of Good-bye to Ken.

A fine write Gold. Even if when he was alive, some savaged him: Did he pay those taxes?! Yet a true comedian, not like smut and filth of some of today\'s \'so-called\' comedians. What comedy shows have we today? I still see worthwhile repeats from 1970\'s: On The Buses, George and Mildred, etc.

A beautiful homage to the
man from Knotty Ash who
brought you laughter and
enjoyment!
I especially liked the line...
‘Thank you, I wanted to
know the time’.
That is a funny one!
I enjoyed the video very
much! I especially liked,
“Let’s forgive and forget
Turn our tears of regret
Once more...
To tears of happiness “
May he Rest In Peace!

Great tribute to one of the funniest comedians of all time - simple humour, no vulgarity - I recall his 5 hour shows which went by in a flash and left me with my sides aching - he will be so missed.

The ,speed of the Passage of TIME is in the Mind of the beholder ! In the rainy Q outside the Theatre ~ one hour is an eternity ~ Inside the Theatre (in Row Q) an hour evaporates ! I can only repeat the Mantra \"Carpe Diem\" because \"Tempus Fugit !\" Thanks for making us think and Dave Allen ~ better than Victor Borg ~ Both could make the Sublime ridiculous ! Thanks BRIAN PS I agree totally about the RUGBY it has confirmed my FRANCOPHOBIA ! B !
