I, too, was a big fan of jazz in the fifties, and loved Gerry Mulligan. I was right there at the table digging it with you, Goldie!

MORNIN\' ANDY ~ \"If music be the Food of Love ~ play on !\" The SAX has a heavenly sound ~ shunned by stiff starchy classical orchestras ~ but the are so many great SAXOPHONISTS in Heaven now ~ that they must out number the Harpists. Sax and Harp Jazz duo in a Pub in Lanelli (S Wales) now there\'s heaven ! Love the CD love the Poem ~ \"Lazin\' on a Sunday Afternoon in Birdland AMEN !\" Thanks for caring ~ BRIAN

As a sax player you can guess I\'m a fan of jazz too. This 50\'s era is actually my favorite period and i have several jerry and chet recordings. More into Sonny Rollins of that era tho. I can harmonise with your blissful description of this relaxing time. A very evocative write. Thank you.

Cleansing Rain.
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

Thanks ANDY ~ It is the abundance of water ~ billions & billions of gallons ~ that makes Planet Earth a Living Planet ~ the only one discovered so far ! The water Cycle powered by the Sun purifies the water and even though H~O~H is a small molecule it is all retained by the Earths Gravity ! W can waste pure (potable) water ~ but in the end it\'s all recycled. God touched the clouds ~ made the rain ~ from the rain formed the sea ~ from sea formed the clouds to give us life abundantly ! Thanks for caring and sharing ~ BRIAN

I wish it would hurry up and cleanse my soul. We\'ve had oodles of it lately and i\'ve still got the blues in my bones. Great write Goldfinch, i like the way you include that repetative cycle.

Goldfinch, such a nice metaphor that rain washes away our worries. I think it also washes away our sins. Beautiful writing!

Good write G/F. We may moan - too hot, too cold, too wet, etc. Yet clouds can create an atmospheric feeling - dark clouds, white clouds, etc. You singin\' in the rain there? And can ya hear me singin\' in it? Meowwoo! lol.
