Like this one. Having been a church member in the past I can relate to it and I sympathise! I pick up a humorous tone, but I only hope the service itself wasn\'t boring; that would be a double whammy. Like the style, laid back poet.

Well Bryn can do no wrong but I haven\'t heard him sing this before and I agree - it has to be one of, if not the, best renditions I have ever heard. And a great write to boot!

Aw I wish to be part of the picture kissing the sweet dove. Your poem is equally sweet touching and heartwarming. Artistic too as it brings out the emotion in the painting to life in brevity. Thumbs up..

Nice to read from u again, glad to say hi and Pleez do review, give your thoughts as to my newest poem.

You have me staring at the picture and becoming more and more in awe of whoever could capture such detail with paint. It\'s almost eerie.....

This is exactly what I want people to think when they read my poetry. Ahh! The art of self improvement is one never fulfilled. Thank you very much for this awesome work Finch. Much pleasure.

Thanks ANDY ~ ART & MUSIC ~ thanks for sharing ~ You always bring a touch of class to MPS each week ! MILLAIS is a brilliant Artist and he always brings a scene \"to Life !\" I love seeing paintings in the ORIGINAL ~ AWESOME. My DAD has books of Art and of course we were reared on the Walker Art Gallery ~ Liverpool ~ which is still very active today !
Your Poem is an elegant complement to the Painting ! Please check my POEM \"NOW I AM OLD\" Thanks BRIAN

A fine write and pic Gold. Yep, it\'s \'arty season\' again. Well, we don\'t want to travel far in mid-winter. Some shows coming up that I hope to attend soon.

Thanks for caring & sharing ANDY ! That tune sure epitomises many Church Meetings I\'ve attended in the past ! By coincidence it is our AGM tomorrow ! I belong to a lively Evangelical Church so our AGM will not be dull ! Efficient yes but even a few laughs and nice Buffet to Follow. The only thing i have watch (because the atmosphere will be relaxed) is to not volunteer for too many Action Groups ~ Angela will ensure I don\'t ! Loved the REQUIEM & the Poem ~ they went well together ! Yours BRIAN
Please check my Collaboration Poem (with Maxine) and my new FUSION on MUSIC ~ thanks BRIAN

So funny....... Michael\'s \"endless waffle\" comment very funny too..... sound like corporate meetings - oh how people love to hear themselves talk!

Oh I know those meetings well - I especially hate AGMs especially when it comes to electing a new committee - the old ones (who love the limelight) feign reluctance to continue knowing full well that everyone else is shrinking in their seats hoping no one will point to them to join the committee. And the endless waffle - oh take me home.

Ahh, you had a good time then?! Well, it started off good then went downhill from then on? Some meetings - don\'t ya just hate them?! Some church business meetings are held midweek. I suppose they try to capture people on Sundays while they are there in person.

Retribution.
ForeverJesus7 said:

I suppose it is because I am from America that I must disagree. I mean this respectfully. We try to avoid war as much as we can. No one ever wants to go to war, but when it is unavoidable, there is not much more that can be done. There is a time for war and a time for peace. Personally, I like peace, but it is not that easy to walk away sometimes.
Still, I liked your poem. That is how fights often escalate.
Persistence is key

Daveyboyz said:

When speakers are stopped from speaking and people are barred from entering the country because they hold the wrong views the next step is violence. When did we forget how to have open and honest debate? This crisis in N.Africa is by design... part of a larger plan (Kalergi) and a manifestation of the lack of scruples demonstrated by EU/Bilderburg IMO. Good poem though, this tendency of thought process is helpful to nobody.

Thank you Goldfinch60.

A great write.

Retribution sadly so many people are so intent on this where in some circumstances the best thing to do would be to walk away in peace.

Keep writing
