Stillness Around Me

Beautiful poem, Goldfinch! One I can relate to, but my therapeutic choice would be Vivaldi ... the strings really do it for me. I look forward to more of your work.

Ah - I will be there tonight doing just this (if it isn\'t raining and probably listening to Sibelius) plus, of course a gin and tonic with ice and lemon.

THANKS ANDY ~ for sharing such a symbiotic gem ~ aurally and verbally. Richer is a fine composer and his music is Divine. For me String Quartets are the most Heavenly form of music ~ each instrument complementing the other three. Another example where the whole is much greater than the mere sum of parts ! I have an older Lady Friend who is a cellist and when she plays for me it lifts me up to Heaven. The body of the cello has the same dimensions as an adult human which is why cello music is so sensuous ! Yours BRIANi

I share your love of this type of music, Goldfinch. The strings in particular. A violin can enchant me, and a cello can break my heart.
Thank you for sharing the music and your lovely poem! I will be publishing a poem of my own today about music. Be well.

A fine write. It\'s spooky! Our minds may play tricks on us. I told Harold in 1066 to look up, as there was nothing there - or so I thought! doh!

A fine write and pic G/F. Sometimes we might think St Francis was a bit eccentric, but it does say \'Go and preach the gospel to EVERY creature\'. Now this explains my talking to plants!

The sight of a murmuration of starlings in the evening sky is one of natures most dramatic sights. Love the poem of one of our often maligned little beauties.

Why can\'t writing be reality . As bright and beautiful and full of emotions , hope sadness , love and hate . Sometimes much more reality than life itself
