The INS & OUTS of Cricket are a closed book to ALL Americans and other Foreigners who have not had the benefit of being part of the British Empire ! I went to a Grammar School so we always played according to WISDEN always wore Whites and knew where Silly Mid-on was and also how to Bowl a Maiden Over. My Father was an excellent Amateur Cricketer and we both reported on Cricket for the Local Rag ! If we had Cricket in the Olympics it would guarantee the UK another GOLD ! Please check my Fusion on Where would you like to live ? Yours BRIAN

So simply explained Andy - really grateful - even as a Brit I have difficulties with things like silly mid on (if he\'s silly why is he playing) and leg before wicket (well of course it is).
This really gave me a chuckle - much appreciated.

Nice one Goldfinch. I find that i have a serious, a sentimental and a stupid muse. Hopefully theres one or the other lurking around my fingertips when i fire up my laptop but not always.

Thanks ANDY for a elegant POEM ~ Beautiful in FORM & FUNCTION ! one\'s MUSE can be fickle but this Morning I had no problem and the 14 lines in Some Enchanted Evening just oozed from my quill. Mainly due to the fact that my True Love Angela was lying sensuously sated at my side \" Love is indeed a Many Splendored Thing\" Yours BRIAN

A fine write G/F. Well, I don\'t write anything some days. Other days I may write 1,2, or 3 poems. So when I post my poems here, it does not necessarily mean I have written them the same day. Oohh was Kalliope around before 1066?

The development of new tech is so fast, beyond our imagination. A lot of things we saw in movie has come true today. We can hardly imagine what life will look like ten years later.

The future, the past, the now ... all the same ... \"simultaneous time\" ... such a difficult concept to grasp. Yet some visionaries, as you speculate in this poem, have obviously tapped into ... as I\'m sure we all will be able to as we evolve.
A thought-provoking piece, Goldie!

All great sci-fi writers are visionaries. Their huge visions are fantastic and remain so such as time machines, star ships, invasions from space, until they happen... men on the moon etc.
Will Daleks make good poets or exterminate, eradicate, annihilate?
Nice writing Goldfinch.

Thanks a lot Goldfinch, for a very timely, well-written poem. I think the cell phone is the same as any other technology. It can be used for good, and it can be used for bad.
The cell phone increases and maybe improves communication, but I wonder about the quality of that communication. When you write a letter, or a poem, you think first, write later. With the cell phone you talk first, think later.
