\'How the quietest of us have the loudest minds\'
That line grabbed me, Skye, it so well expresses the mind of a poet and reminded me of the other expression: Quiet waters run deep!
There is so much meaning in your writing, I just had to make it a favorite!

Within many modern cameras, there is a feature where you can change how the camera takes the shot in black and white or in color.
It is my experience that some people only see in black and white even though they\'re physically able to see in full color. Also like the glass being half full or half empty. My own father sees a half empty glass always. Always expecting the worst. So I completely understand this write sky. Excellent writing.

Wonderful poem, Skye! You are right that the world doesn\'t have to be black and white! Continue to be colorful and vibrant and show the world what you can be!

Skye, you are already flying high here on MPS! Your poem proves it. And thinking you did it all with \'training wings\'!

Such a great read - as an artist I have spent years trying to draw like a child - and I\'m still trying.

Skye, I really like this poem. So well written, great last line!
Do travel as much as you can and try to see the world through the eyes of the people you meet. Keep an open mind, and as Santi already said, write your impressions down, preferably while you travel.

Great write sky. It reminds me of the song \"Old Man\" by Neil Young. I guess it\'s really about Neil\'s caretaker on his farm. But when I listen to the song, to me it\'s about a young man speaking to his older self. Listen to it on Youtube and see if it seems that way to you too.

Skye, this is a beautiful and thought provoking poem. As a grandfather now I do have the privilege to once in a while see the world through young kids eyes (whenever we visit the grandchildren). And that reminds ME to look differently at the world again, at least to a degree. One cannot erase all these years of experiencing both the bad and the good.

Great poem, with a strong and true message for all the girls and ladies out there! Skye, you write very well, I am sure this poem will be a great help for many who falsely think that they have to be rescued by a white knight (or prince charming).
