The Evening Ball

Lovely! And nobody yet has compared to Fred & Ginger.

The evening ball i grew up with was a football game we played with all that youthful energy we had as kids. It went on till bad light stopped play.

Lorna,

An emotional read...to say the least!
Your poem along with the video gripped my heart! It’s so hard! Just yesterday I had one of those melancholy days! I couldn’t let go of what was...but, I know I have to! It hurts!
A super poem and video! Thank you for sharing! I’ll certainly refer to them when another burst of melancholy makes its appearance!

Separations

For many years I said away on a ship. I\'ve stood at the rail with damp eyes and watch the pier disappear. Goodbyes are hard. Hellos are wonderful. Thank you.

Reading \"Someone...\" made me sit back and think of very important gatekeepers in my life, and the times
that I\'ve been a minder of the gate. Thank you for guiding me down that path.

Poems are like an abstract painting. Each sees a different nuance - and the more the merrier, for then the artist has achieved the goal, as have you.

Like watching your Baby learning to walk. Every encouragement is there from you but there comes a day when the baby walks across the room to you. Golden moments. Such moments are there throughout our lives. We can hope for a certain outcome/chain of events... and seeing something near to it is a WIN.

Its a mild Winter we are having this Spring. If any hope remains, or if you need a bit of weather news from the bright side, birds were flooding our tree today, cardinals, orioles, chickadees, etc.
Let the flowers scream for Sun, maybe Nature will listen. Your poem makes their case elegantly Clever to have given them a voice. Great imagery. Springtime emotions from our flowery friends. terrific write. - Phil A.

You look to the sky and all you see is grey
Whats Trump doing to the weather over US of A
He thinks global warming is a kinda a myth
False news he says, is he taking the piss?
Your grandkids amd mine will reap the wirlwind
To neglect it now is a mortal sin
