My Sails are Luffing
Laura🌻 said:

Lorna,
I have a feeling your sails will forever be filled to keep your little boat afloat!
I sense through your writings that you’re a very strong individual with a great sense of humor that will rise above any adversity thrown your way!

Thanks for sharing LORNA ~ Cool Picture ~ Melancholy Song ~ Sad Poem ! LUFFING is a cool word and something I have often done in Lake Sailing where the wind iv very unpredictable ! \"Steering close to catch the wind in your sails\".
When we are losing someone close we can reflect on the effect of their presence in nautical terms as in many songs ! They are the \"Wind in our Sails\" and the \"Compass to direct us\" ! In my experience ~ the sad thing is ~ when they\'ve gone ~ their support & guidance goes with them. We must cherish our Mentors while we still have them ! Every Blessing BRIAN ! Lorna,

There are times when one
must bury their head in
the sand, but ultimately
“...behind the hands
she’ll have no doubts “...

An awesome write that will
resonate beyond the read!
I enjoyed the excellent
choice of lyrics by
Garrett Hedlund to accentuate your poem!
Did you see the movie
COUNTRY STRONG?

Recharging your batteries is a physical and emotional necessity. Even when you don\'t have a lot of time, just 10 to 15 minutes of sleep can revive you to finish your day. Beautiful write Lorna.

Love ARIZONA and the attitude of the US Citizens ~ everyone a CowBoy / Girl and the NATIVE AMERICANS are so so Iconic ~ Inscrutable & Proud ~ makes me want to be Cowboy in the 18th / 19th Century ~ with 1000 head of Cattle & a Gold Mine. Lorna,
You’re so spot on with your poem! I totally agree with the message conveyed in your write...especially:
“A pricier funeral is best
For one who has more than the rest”!
My mom told me to bury her in the backyard when her time comes!
My dad, on the other hand, insisted on Green-Wood Cemetery where his favorite maestro (Leonard Bernstein) is buried!
My parents were like yin and yang about many things in life!

Great choice of pic and video! First time I’ve heard that “Oliver” version. I liked it!

A BRILLIANT posting! Brava!
