LAMP AND BOWL
Rocky Lagou said:

Very neatly expressed. The bowl and light is a very clever analogy or our true selves and negativity wrestling with each other. You penned it very well! 💖

I love this stoical message. It\'s so true though, optimism can become a front.

Optimism prison
L. B. Mek said:

the potential for toxicity in every aspect of existence, exemplified with insightful clarity in your expressive write..
too much of anything just clouds our perspectives, being considerate is such a wonderful trait of empathy, but at the cost of our own \'well being\',
it can so quickly become a corrosive part of our personality,
but expecting other\'s to pick-up on our suppressed suffering, is tantamount to blind hope..
better I think to acknowledge/face it as a weakness and start working on proactive solutions ourselves, find a way to supplement it and balance out its potential for harm, by insuring we nurture our own essential quality of self-salvation and insuring we only share as much of ourselves as we can afford to give: without expectations of reciprocation..
we gota protect ourselves, so we can be healthy enough to support those who actually care about us, without giving-up our instinctive nature for empathetic consideration of others, a balancing act of continual self awareness

I am always optimistic, when you have been given a second chance at life as I have there is absolutely nothing to be worried about.

Story of Eternity

I had an idea I would like this before I read it! It is that we don\'t always believe His love; or we forget it at times, caught up with distractions, etc?

Cleaned, Freed, & sent back to society
orchidee said:

A fine write blessed, from painful experience. Yet blood, which naturally stains, now cleanses through Jesus - that crimson cleansing as you say. Salvation for animals too! - so many required to be killed under the Old Covenant.
And the last two verses get to the heart of things. Some are too busy messing about with \'rites and rituals\' and their religion has become \'twee\' and quaint. But here is a reality expressed in this poem. Thankfully, many have less painful times in life.
