Very good write sylvia, some educationalists are trying form stereotypes to fit in the places that those in power want them to be. We are all different and need to show who WE are and be understood by those who donโt care.

Sometimes roles are amazingly reversed. Here you have led us to read of how a child has educated the system.
\'One size\' does definitely not fit all in education.
I have a special child and she taught me so much about life and myself. Things i would never have learned without her.
Difficult though it is, you are blessed with a child who gives you a sight no one else will perceive, beauty no one else will see, tears of joy few will understand.

The link does not work. It was a story from yesterday\'s Guardian about a judge ruling that the exclusion of a boy with autism was an act of discrimination.

Vivid word-picture of a jump into death which is all too familiar in this day and age - thanks for this excellent haiku Sylvia.

Wonderful poem! Guess itโs conflicting whether to be lonely or in love but both come with pain in my opinion

Iโm not sure how to react to this poem.
Should I feel pity?
Your words sound so certain.
No remorse, no looking back.
You wonโt always feel this way.
Or perhaps you will!
Nice write.

Thanks Dan.
I suppose when I wrote it I felt sad but maybe even angry?
Connection has evaded me most of my life so I suppose it is about loneliness but also the hurt when someone connects with you on what you think is a deep level and then erases you making you realise even harder than before how alone you are.
I prefer the company of trees and birds to humans. They demand nothing of me.
Thanks for reading ๐

That took me back to one of my first (ish) writings called my cliff. I felt so alone even though I had so much, nearly every day I\'d cry before and after sleep if I got any.
I guess it was passing my loneliness and although I still felt it, I slowly became friends with myself and did what I wanted to do and express all I think and feel.
Just keep writing and never stop doing new things that you know you should

You know this could well be saying goodbye to the spirit of a loved one who has just passed. For we all have an inner spirit which is quite beautiful and remains so as the body weakens and ages.

Read all your comments before making my own here.
I really enjoyed this. I was there (for i love the sea and coastline) in my mind seeing this pair.
Never, in my minds eye, were they pictured as a couple intending the shared picnic. Rather they were two individuals spiritually drawn to the glory of the coast, opening up to the refreshing majesty of crashing waves giving one self perspective.... therefore really in tune with their individual need for a partner. And there\'s mystery within too.
Yes your lovely poem really romanced the poet in me this morning.
Going to put this in my favourites.

Good write. Seeing your comment it is often the way that we start out with and idea of what we are going to write but as the words flow the idea changes into something else. This happens a great deal with me.
