The old saying \"one man\'s junk is another man\'s treasure\" comes to mind. I suppose we all judge according to our own sense of worth. Loved it!

The poem invites the reader to reflect on the nature of reality and the value of individual pursuits, while acknowledging the potential for others to view those pursuits as foolish.

“What began as a trickle.” Your phrase conjures visceral and tactile image and as you build the story we journey with and we learn. Nice write, great read. You got it going on.
P. S. I took the Title as a play on that famous Smokey Robinson song. “Just like Pagliacci did, I try to keep my sadness hid, smilin’ in the public eye , while in my lonely room I cry”

That horror resurrected in prosaic clarity will bring shudders and more to those reading your avidly penned descriptions of the thirties with its despicable behaviour of uncaring insanity - - with lessons learnt the future should never produce sights and sounds of such crowds forming again --- or at least we hope so with all our heart............x

I\'ll add this though, \"in a world where no two things are ever the same, twins, clones, copies, any two things. I think we are lucky to just keep on spinning.
I hope the sentiment of your poem becomes universal. If we humans could just accept each other as human, then maybe we could move forward. But large egos get in the way and the \"self\" overtakes all other concerns. Love, Peace and Harmony. - Phil A.

read your words and couldn\'t help
relating to them in a selfishly
personal manner
hence my rant below, forgive me Hyung
(those dictators love to state
Poetry, should be read out loud
a must
I ask,
what if we\'ve worded poetic
what could never be spoken
tried to poetically, express
in-place of a yearning to caress
what then, dear \'know it all\'
must poetry exist to entertain
only
what if it\'s a note, a confession
inked
with that sincerity of scarlet ink
intended to reach, just one
whose forgiveness, can never
be attained
yet still, that need to word something
and explain, necessitates
the existence if these poetic words)

Duplicity
L. B. Mek said:
yeah...
in the past, my partner left her phone with me
so I can help her get something fixed
every night, around 1 am
some fool, would call her number
and detail their encounters
I simply posted back her phone
never said a word to her after
years later, we met
she thought I had found someone else
and dumped her...
(perspective, warps
which end of that duplicity
we find, looking back at us)
or it may just be me n my horrid luck...
lol
(such a relatable write, Hyung)

The uncomplete-d sits there and can be returned to but that isn\'t always the easiest feat to accomplish. But Time it has been said is a great healer and when that time comes around a reconciliation restores and even lets soar. I pray for that for every uncomplete poem and every poet that they correspond to.
