My Lotus and Me
Doggerel Dave said:

Well I suppose if you are a tree and not a hand and don’t have another tree not to clap with (if yer know wot I mean) then you best just lie down and hope no one heard…
The only thing which buggered the whole scene up was the British Racing Green Lotus, which we will have to excuse because it was only seventeen and really hadn’t had the chance , since it was always racing around, to sit, contemplate, then koan find out......

Oh my did you bend the tree! Timber’s away! Hope you both stick around, least you both weren’t bumps on a log! Racing sounds like fun! Of course trees don’t cry, they just weep sap

The wheel came off mine on a nasty bend....... on another occasion i swerved to avoid a child and fell out of bed!
There were tree fellers there but not an axe between em bejabers.
Do trees make a sound whilist falling or just when they stop falling... maybe its just the wind.

When the Sea Fret Hit
Doggerel Dave said:

Despite the atmosphere and atmospherics (are they different?) your piece evokes, all this is a wee bit hard for me, Nev – so I’m afraid I will have to play the antipodean absentee card once more…. As I sus it , two ideas form:

- Hoar has an association with frost, yet according to my calculation, arrived at after standing on my head (puts myself more in your position and improves circulation to half defunct gray matter), you should by now be in Autumn –
- Which brings me to a “Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness”

So how come?

The sea fog can be mysterious, or it can lead a sailor astray without a compass! Me thinks yours weaved tall tales of woes! Just like a dame 🌝

(forgive me, I tried to relate best I could, but not really got me sea legs, let alone the lingo)
still, thanks for the informatively fun read, dear Poet

uniquely

never seen one, although
I doubt I would recognise it
but, on a somewhat similar note
they say, fritillary butterflies were spotted
in Kent this year
and while all butterfly numbers continue to decline
its warming to think
theirs a chance of a tepid re-emergence, of sorts
personally, I have seen so many this year
nature\'s fluttering: comforter\'s supreme
(in my humble \'city boi\' opinion\' lol
