A tender remembrance of how to ease the bruises of life - your last stanza spells the way out most clearly Neville - - aching together and aloud often mends the broken and with that sort of healing I really agree. A poet\'s poem this.......... Fay

Autumn
Suresh said:

Autumn is my favorite season. Maybe it has something to do with being aligned with my birth.

I have lied about my age, as youth has been stolen away from me.

It\'s so nice to reminisce

My famous last words were: \'See ya arooouunndddddddd!\' But why? Cos I was falling off a cliff at the time. It was a tad painful when I landed.

Was ye with me, and others, in 1066? I mucked it all up ya know. They say that I said to Harold \'Look up Sir, at the vital moment - and he did!
My famous last words have not been said yet. They will be \'I\'m gonna stop singing!\' Meaning I\'m gonna sing until then. Oh no! lol.

By thunder I feeleth those shaftes and lances as ancient battle commences - - a great war lord was Vortiger -- bravo for using archaic words Nev - a linguistic delight for the likes of me to read.
I always did love to read and decipher historical language.

Reminds me of \'A Brimful Of Asha\' by an Indian music band called \'Cornershop\' and it actually means that \'a brimful of asha\' that you\'ve spilled some coffee on a spinning 45 vinyl deck. Nice work.

Never took that ride, but reminds me of many a train ride in India and the movie Bhowani Junction.

Rushing to get the snacks at the various stations, nervous not the miss the train, as it is taking too long, or calling the vendor for a cup of hot tea in the mutka (earthenware), adding its own flavor.
Very enjoyable poem

I quite fancy that journey - malaysia here I come. As for the poem it is simply superb - although only stanzas long it still manages to capture two different ideas in simple terms and leaves the reader both thinking about the journey itself and wondering about the story behind the visit - who why when.

It is dreadful that there are people out there that do this, they just do not care of the hurt and frustration they cause. The person is a bully in some respects and as you are aware all bullies are cowards!

Well, I only sing (99% of the time), so it can\'t be me! (heehee). It\'s a pain though. Is it a case of \'You know who you are, you....\'. (all what I wrote yesterday. oohh!).

I never sensed anything was going on...blimey i am so detached and naive.

Wherever one goes as an individual on the web there seems to be a prat lurking with a chip on their shoulder waiting to amuse themselves by being negative about ones input. Sometimes they may have an appreciative audience of one or two like-minded similarly \'chipped\' sad individuals but gladly 99% of people see them for the inadequate souls they truly are.
