Ephemeral Embrace
dusk arising said:

Such are the regrets on waking from euphoric dreams. Delaying arising to meet the day... clutching at fading remnants of that dream... I know this only too well...

Very well written, easily relateable. Hopefully they will return for your togetherness in the slumbers which await your nights ahead.

Enchanting! As we wake we often try to hold onto those slender threads of a beautiful dream. Loved your poem.

I love the beautiful utilization of words in your poem. The way they shape, mold the essence of the piece. Loved the words, loved the poem.

Wow! This recalled a Sylvia Plath poem to mind, \"The Stones.\" It\'s very similar in execution in which the speaker is describing themselves as being this \"object\" and being handled by different people with their tools. This is an excerpt from the poem:
\"The jewelmaster drives his chisel to pry
Open one stone eye...
Heating the pincers, hoisting the delicate hammers.
A current agitates the wires
Volt upon volt.\"
I really enjoyed this poem and you did great! I love this sense of assurance in this person the speaker is describing, going as far as \"given [the speaker a] meaning. πŸ‘βœ¨

Okay, as opposed to Dusk\'s opinion, I personally enjoyed the font, as it fit in with the theme. I love the contradictory phrases you state and the paradoxes you opened were profound and sage. Interesting. \"Reality\'s an illusion\" πŸ’–πŸ’–βœ¨

Thank you for your review and comments. I selected the font because like the poem it made it more difficult. Oh well some choices could have always been better in this life. Thanks again

I enjoyed your piece for your clever wordplay. The font was difficult though LOL.

Your poem stirs so many emotions of days gone by for me. Married 52 years and thinking back on so much life shared through thick and thin. Thank you for your beautiful words.

We have to have the opposites of life, the beginnings and ends. It\'s how we make sense of our world. It\'s how we learn from infancy. The trick is to find the balance, the equilibrium, which takes a lifetime of work and commitment for each one of us individually and collectively. Thank you for this stunning piece, loved it.

Wow! This was so freaking GOOD! I literally love how candid this poem was like absolutely no restraint and I live for that boldness. The social issues you touched on really made me feel hope. I love the way you worded this piece. The line \"The entrance to heaven is through hell\'s door\" literally captivated me! Like that\'s some profound stuff! I totally agree with this \"new point of view.\" Morality is in the eye of the beholder! πŸ’–πŸ’–

This is the most beautiful poem I have read in a long, long time. I knew it would go into my favourites long before i neared the ending.
I was hooked on the romance of childhood in your words and gently taken through acceptance of our own children moving on which you phrased so delicately and on.... to our senior years which i share now.

Yes a beautiful work. Well done and thank you so much for such a fine read today
