We are governed by habit and ritual more than thought we are a product of what has been from the beginning be it war, greed of whatever man is. our artificial attempts at protection hung up in treaties with memories of past violations and wars. Todays silence of cold war leads to misunderstanding. Differences in the form of static make this world hard to understand. In a world that has had its technological revolution we have gone far too long without a social revolution and when that time comes a paradigm shift is the opening to an evolution of man casting off old habits and a changed species. I think I have traveled far enough in this out of control interpretation. Loved it and a fave

For me this was a fascinating read. I like the quotes eg \"Rhythm, not reason guides the hand ....\"There is so much in this that made me stop in my tracks and think. A very clever write. I enjoyed reading

Oh, my dear poet and friend…this felt like it was speaking through me, not just to me. 😔 That violet-in-the-crack line? Wow! That’s the truth of it. The echo that stays, the dialect of quiet grief—we know it well...or at least I do. Deeply moving work. Still sitting with this. 🌹👏 A must fave for me.

Oh this…this was exquisite, my friend. Just sumptuous in tone and cadence! You always know how to set a table—metaphorically and emotionally! That third stanza? Chef’s kiss. And the ending? Still lingering like a fine vintage… Love it, my friend! 🌹👏 A fave!

Any artist in any field would relate to this, as the mind is always ticking over, little seeds are down, some taking years to grow, enjoyed the read

This is a hope filled poem.Perhaps the poet is not forgotten but has metamorphised into being a musician or lyricist. The basic roots of poetry are still there and growing. An excellent discussion. Enjoyed reading

A poem with a very nice metaphor (We who read beneath fluorescents still look out windows because of you.) also the whole last stanza works so well. The idea of being an echo or an underground root unseen yet growing. How many times have I seen ripple effects from written words sometimes noticeable and at others not. Very nicely written and a fave

Truly a feast for the pallate and the heart, captured in beautiful rhyming stanzas. I kept reading it aloud, and each time it became more endearing.

A brilliant remembrance of olden times when two hearts were one. The celebrational setting adds contrast to the longing desire of the narrator. Enjoyed this. - Phil A.

Such a style of a past era is carried by this poem. The first stanza caught my attention with the nice paring and rhyme of the last two lines. As in rhyme the story carries on one finds that the other is imaginary or at least just a memory. A definite fave
