A clever observation of daily ritual for many but I suspect these are the doors we put in place, and they are doors we use to block out rather than open and let in, keeping us contained in what we are accustomed to, enjoyed the read

Time, rhythm or laws of order, interruptions masked in static of lack of understanding, protection hung up because it is not needed all compartmentalized as if in different rooms, and time is the door to understanding and passing though this compartmentalization. Maybe a time when we ill understand the ritual and the masks will fall and the static tune into clarity, where the coat will no longer be needed and the door of time will open. How is that for a wild and bizarre interpretation my friend?

May this read feel like the hush before a revelation that may never arrive, yet somehow always has been there all along. Enjoy!

There is a touch of sadness here and a feeling of not being appreciated and being excluded.I certainly can relate to this.I like the metaphors like reading windows without knowing the name of the wind. Well done

Indeed. Patience no longer seems to be a virtue in this culture of convenience and instant gratification. Well expressed, my friend. A fave. 🌹👏

A nicely crafted write, some lovely lines around I feel the coldness of technology and we expect everything from it now, where as before we were happy to wait and took our time to find the answers, enjoyed the read

And as you read these words spanning seas and vast tracts of land know that on the other side of the world someone got your message. Against technology in many ways it has made knowledge and poetry wider spread some false knowledge and some shall I say disposable poetry but none the less available. However technology i.e.. computers seem cold and distant. Some great metaphors used I particularly like the second to the last stanza that means something to me because I come from that time when the cursor blinked and remember well that wait. A fave

For me this reads like a song. The little extra service that people give is what makes life worth living.A gift that does not require payment is a treasure.Really enjoyable read.

🤯 Step right up folks. Check this poem out. This is how a poem ought to be done. Wonderful form, thoughtful flow, layered metaphor and a meaning that the universe will keep unfolding as it follows you through life. Seriously, dear arqios, this may be one of my all time faves of yours. Until you publish tomorrow! 🤣 I love all your work. I really do! 🌹👏

A lovely write of the way things should be naturally and in alot of ways used to be, I had a butchers round when i was a kid for a while, the butcher always put a bit extra in for the unemployed families, enjoyed the read

The message of the poem alone merits the fave. Nicely written it flows like the kindness of honey on buttered bread spreading its gold for the listener\'s tongue to taste. Very nicely done

Not really a hundred percent about the title just yet... any ideas? This piece being a quiet nod to the things we often overlook—the unspoken gestures that ripple through our days without fanfare. It traces the outline of generosity not by what\'s expected, but by what’s offered freely, instinctively.

My dear departed mum used this code. She was an oyster farmer/processor, and always put an extra oyster in each jar.
It paid off.
