boarding pass
Tristan Robert Lange said:
In this I read one\'s imagination. Where it takes one is limitless. But the beauty of this poem is its openness to interpretation. This could be anything. If we think in terms of spirituality and religion, the boarding pass could be faith. In other situations...the possibilities are limitless. Well done, my friend! 🌹👏

Believe me Cryptic I have flown to endless horizons and when I got there they looked the same as the ones I left. I do like the idea of metaphor in this poem of endless internal horizons where imagination does the flying. I fly that airline frequently and have lots of frequent flyer miles accrued. A fun read my friend.

Time is ultimately a human construct. The earth turns without any recognition of it. The stars we see today could have imploded 500 light years ago. Even as I write this I cannot write \"outside of time\" because it is so embedded in language; yet, what is it really? Is this moment disconnected from every previous moment and from every moment to come? Or do we make a measurement of time to keep ourselves from coming completely unraveled in uncertainty? I believe the latter. We invent time to keep an order of things...because we need that order to survive. Or, it is possible that time is truly real in this plane of existence and if that is the case, the question becomes, what lies beyond time? Either way, the stuff that will keep one up pondering at night. And for that, this gets a fave. Well done, my friend. ⏱️🖤🐦⬛

Hmm. Esoteric, eh? A riddle for our indulgence. I could swear that\'s virtually an image of \"the British Josiah,\" but since I can\'t prove it...? Fascinating and excellently rendered with gorgeous imagery and a tantalizing, damning poignancy. Thank you very much for sharing.

Reminds me of the Tudor period in our history books. A brutal time, and as for Henry VIII, a right royal bar steward. An absolute tyrant and so religious !! Said his prayers all the time. I am assuming 2016 was the year you wrote this poem arqios? Or does it refer to something else.

Beautiful poem and not just the words of it. I love how it is structured to taper outward. From the shorter opening lines to the broader/longer lines at the end. Well done, my friend. That chorus of yours...awesome!🌹👏
On another note, read your notice of absence. Yikes, Glad you are all okay. Cyclones are no fun, I know...having endured Superstorm Sandy. Keeping you all in prayers, my friend.
