great write,
we all tend to prance on our keyboard of high horses but fall short when it\'s time to walk reality\'s chequered boards,
still on-n-on we sing to give voice to that part within, yearning to be the best we can achieve

Lockdown plays havoc with my body clock too. I fall asleep in my chair, get to bed can\'t sleep, arose at 03.15 to find something to do. Wrote a poem that fell out of my fingertips somehow (post it tomoz).
Envy you, it\'s been a while since i walked in the wee small hours... not safe around here.

There\'s a lot of wise words in your post today.

Those headlines interest me though. Cos Mr Dusk Arising can write far wiser that he is able to live day to day. But that\'s just a human failing - a part of us all.
Just the same as you Dan, I fight the inner struggle that is a torture of my early experiences of life. My sense of what is right and noble is my weapon backed up by a little wisdom earned from experience.
Keep up that good fight... the alternatives are crap.

...... and reading your words now, you have encapsulated what you have just shown us so well.

Death will be there for us all but we do not need to think about it yet, you especially as in your life at the moment you have a wonderful wife and a beautiful daughter who you obviously love. You have changed into a person who is looking at life in a new light, keep that light with you and live your wonderful life to the full.

I am pleased you wrote this and shared this for us... On the surface, its almost humorous - death asking what\'s for dinner - but underneath, you capture what I suspect most of us to be feeling and what most of us also hope to achieve - a change of menu. It\'s very clever. I too normally write from a dark place, I find expression from my pen also brings the light. You press publish with a sense of satisfaction at your creation but also with a sense that the weight upon your shoulders has slightly shifted. One for the favourites.

I agree. Time and space and things mellow..... sharp edges fall of questions..... probably because we have learned some of the answer.... we are getting there.
Death will always accept us but there is no reward for giving in too early..... reincarnation comes with a lesson...... but thats another story.

This is a wonderful reminder of the power we hold. The power our choices have. The world isn\'t black and white but our mission to heal the world is clear. Excellent.

It is so wonderful to see you like this Dan, over the years I have seen you become this positive loving man who with his loving wife and daughter and his wonder with dogs become the way you are now. We all have those \'down\' days but they get fewer and fewer as you come to terms with them a put them behind you. The future is always so bright and wonderful Dan and you are finding that future in your life.
Well done.

Dan, please never lose sight of what you are today. You are an authority on dogs and the behaviour, in addition to being a loving husband and father, a much respected poet and a sound, soul searching guy.
Recently we\'ve seen you soul searching and being hard on yourself, questioning so many things. But here today is the positive Dan, self assured and proud with every right to be.
There are times when we all go downwards in spirit so I repeat - don\'t lose sight of what you are today.

Once again I\'m going to remind you of that Desiderata piece i showed you quite a while ago now..... for you are a child of the universe with as much right to be here as the trees and the stars....... theres also another part of it about ..... be proud of your achievements....... there will always be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

There is so much wisdom in that piece.

We had a session with Dan yesterday which was extremely helpful. His understanding and knowledge of how a dog\'s mind works and how human behaviour creates the dogs behaviour enabled me and my dog to turn a massive corner on a single session. I would definitely recommend Art of the Mutt to anyone struggling with their hound. Dan was great and easy to get along with and my dog gave him the upmost respect.

Dan, it\'s so good to see you writing about someone you love and feeling the warmth through your words.
I know how it feels to give out the love, to share it..... and my it feels good doesn\'t it.
Forgive me for not commenting recently, I\'ve been waiting and hoping for something like today\'s post from you. So much better to see you not looking deep into yourself.... sometimes we look to deep and the answers nor the right questions are just not there yet. But all around there are things which can bring us joy and today youve written a cracker together with a great video (your vids are always so good).

L. B. Mek said:

these hallway lanes of artistry\'s inspirational spurts must always be treasured, so write, let it all out and enjoy the ride,
as soon enough those lacklustre corridors of worrisome blank pages will seemingly overtake,
such is the curse of stop-start - jarring ebb-n-flow: endured by all Poets,
good read
