Dan,

Misunderstandings do occur! The most serious ones cause a lot of pain! It takes a long time for repairs...if they’re worth repairing!
You’re spot on with...
“nothing can ever take the skin over this soul”...
Wishing you love and peace during your very personal journey!

So true, our souls can never be taken.
We try our best with our lives and you are obviously moving forward in the right way.

Yes, your words speak truth, \"Some things attract, others repel.\"

Throughout life we are given choices and we alone must choose either right or wrong.

Great reflective poem. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Such a wonderful, truthful, and inspirational poem!

This line truly sums it up...

Love the pic!

Dan,

That’s a great quote from Virginia Wolf! Not too long ago, I saw the film based on her life starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton! Phenomenal!!

Short but powerful. The idea of a battle and a blessing resonates with me. It reminds me of the journey you go on if you read John Keats early and later work.

I love that quote too. I was trying to express exactly that earlier today but I\'m no Virginia Woolf.

I often wonder if feeling deeoly, strongly, intensely is a blessing or a curse. But if I had the choice I would not be without it. You have a rich soul Dan. Treasure yourself đź’ś

Dan,

Awesome pic!
Awesome video!

Your poem expresses the pain of love!
The constant struggle within you is causing
all your pain as I can discern from your written words...

“Yet my brain can still flick between what it wants and what is real
As I remind it we are happy for all that we feel”

Until you can fully come to terms with that struggle within you, that battle will continue! So stay strong, stand proud, shed the tears so that “anger doesn’t build a wall”!

The years do go by fast. Your children will be adults sooner than you think! They’ll be free to be with you anytime they wish! They’ll need you “whole”! Right now this is what you’re trying to accomplish! Stay strong...don’t cave in!

Enough of my “waffling”!

Really good to read such positive words from you sir. How brave you were yesterday with your dog walking video. I\'m not brave enough to do that. Hold your head up, it suits you. And when you feel down,, allow yourself those times, you know they will pass. There now follows a cliche.... \'tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life\' ..... smile often.

If this helps, or rather, on a spiritual plane, we could say: \'God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind\' (2Timothy1 v.7). A verse I need to apply to myself more too.
